Anyways we had Alves/Montoya in 2014-2015 then Alves alone 2015-2016, now Alves is gone, it won't be the end of the world if he got these +1000 minutes that Mathieu got as a full back, give him a real shot

Because Mathieu is a better player. Lucho defended douglas at first. After seeing him in training every day, he didn't play him, unless it was against 3rd division sides. I don't understand your obsession with douglas, but he is a pretty average player, not good enough for Barça. He's at granada, alaves level.

Douglas doesn't deserve a "real" shot. He's not at the level needed. Montoya left because of it, and he's better than Douglas.
