Douglas doesn't deserve a "real" shot. He's not at the level needed. Montoya left because of it, and he's better than Douglas.

Douglas didn't play because Lucho saw him in training. Barça have better players than him, so why play him? Mathieu played LB because there wasn't someone better. Granada and Alaves wont' take him for 2 reasons: high wages and he'd take a non-eu spot.

Why do you think douglas won't give up his wages, and also one year left to become a spanish citizen? He knows he won't get that wage ever again in his life. Next summer he'll leave for some small team, and if you want, you'll be able to see him play. Right now douglas is not worried about playing, so I don't know why you are. Granada and Alaves won't take him because he's utter shite. These types of teams will take any Barca player no matter how little they play for us in most circumstances. Montoya rarely played for us and he was wanted by Inter, and later by Betis after he rarely played for Inter.

The truth is there is extensive evidence he's a terrible player. He won't suddenly become better than he was in Sao Paulo, where he was still a trash player, playing on a level much lower than La Liga. His limited time on the pitch for Barca was enough to prove he hasn't gotten any better and reports of him being awful were 100% accurate.

Any person who has ever seen him play gave plenty of warnings that he's awful prior to us signing him for money laundering purposes. Just because you're too thick to recognize it doesn't mean I should have to go do the digging for you.

You want reports from whom, exactly? I had seen him playing many times before his signing. I was baffled as anyone else who already knew him. To this day, sao paulo fans still make fun of Barça. Including in their own boards. if you understand portuguese, google them and read. The "report" from renato gonçalves was a lie, just a clickbait for his site. You won't find many reports about douglas from brazilian media, because he never caught anyone's attention. he was just another player here.

Dude, what? Both Tello and Montoya do actually suck. Tello is a kick and run player and Montoya can't pass, can't dribble, can't even run with the ball fast without losing it.
Arda is something completely different, many are frustrated he wasn't Iniesta-'light'. He's been alright, but looks like he isn't interested in playing for us or any other club for that matter (as we could see with Turkey is the Euros). We shouldn't spend time or money on players that look like it's a punishment playing for us...
