Gijon already signed Lillo from Eibar and they also have captain Lora for RB. If they are really interested in Douglas they could maybe use him as RW where they currently only have ex Barça B player Carlos Carmona. That would probably be good for Douglas as I think he could at least be serviceable in attack for lower table teams and maybe if he does good this season there will be more interest in him next summer (when he'll also have spanish passport and won't count against Non-EU quote anymore) as I doubt Gijon will buy him. IF it happen it will be most likely loan with possible (very low) buy option included.
Personally I'd be happy if we get rid of him, even if it's just for one season. If he can prove that he can be useful for smaller club and that will help us to sell him permanently next season even better.
