Eden Hazard

I don't get the big/small team thing for him, he never seems that great against either. Is it dribbling youtube videos that manufacture hype for players like him or what? He's obviously good, but there's a reason he's playing on Chelsea and not top tier team. I'm sure he can dribble by his fair share of garbage English defenses, but I just don't see that as enough to make you anything close to world class.

This is a league that considers Aguero/Kane/Costa their 3 best players, it's tough to take their analysis of the game very seriously.

I don't expect any big future from Hazard. Certainly NEVER any Balon D'or nomination. Probably wastes away most of his career in this hopeless Chelsea squad, watching Europe from the sidelines, clutching his Capital One Cup.

My eyes, what have i just read.

He is a great player. But as long as he stays at Chelsea he can kiss ballon d'or goodbye. Only way he can win it is when Chelsea gets a treble. I don't think that will happen in mourinho time.

Its true that Chelski has been poor by their standards, but their squad isnt really hopeless and they have had a strong cl-record even these last few years, when english football was on decline. Hazard will be clutching on to the league trophy as well, just saying.

Hazard is a better footballer than CR7 nowadays. He'd be criminally wasted if he stood in the box waiting for rebounds and penalties all day.

When Ronaldo was Hazard's age he already had a Ballon d'Or and CL in his pocket.

Ronaldo would be mediocre if not for his glorified poaching skills. His all around game is pretty meh, can't have a good game without scoring. It's odd to hear Ronaldo is not good from Madrid's fan's mouth though.

He can and does have good games without scoring, but not to the same degree as Messi ofc. Anyway, any player who puts up the number he does cant possibly called bad.

He's no longer spectacular though at least from what I see of him. He has sacrificed most of his original attributes and turned in to a goal scoring machine so just by numbers alone he can challenge Messi for Ballon D'or.

I guess that came out wrong. He used to be a complete player in my eyes, nowadays he's just a poacher. He's still good obviously but I liked him much more before when he was dribbling, running a lot, scoring free kicks and insane long shots etc. Also pretty much what Truthist said.

Goal win matches so obviously we have to consider his poaching skills too. Football is not just about skills. It is about winning matches for your team. Being able to influence the result. And Ronaldo is the second most decisive player. He scores tap ins because he has great off the ball movement and he scores headers because he is damn good in air. Not because of luck.

Yes, Ronaldo is the best alongside Messi in winning matches directly. Messi is of course better at doing so indirectly as well(assists and controlling games). The direct way is the easiest to meassure, but a midfielder can really win the match as well, by controlling the game and creating good working conditions for the attackers. Im sure Modric has won us many matches, but that cant really be measured in numbers.

Modric is as important as Ronaldo for real Madrid. With him on the pitch you guys will perform a lot better. Benzema comes 3rd after those 2.
