Eden Hazard

Modric is as important as Ronaldo for real Madrid. With him on the pitch you guys will perform a lot better. Benzema comes 3rd after those 2.

James is actually more important for us than i previously thought as well. Not Ronaldo/Modric level, but really quite important.

Goal win matches so obviously we have to consider his poaching skills too. Football is not just about skills. It is about winning matches for your team. Being able to influence the result. And Ronaldo is the second most decisive player. He scores tap ins because he has great off the ball movement and he scores headers because he is damn good in air. Not because of luck.

This.

It is ridiculous for some of us to deny Ronaldo's talent and status as a great footballer today. Sure he is not the more exciting and talented player he once was, but to be able to do what he is doing today, at his age (30), poacher or not, is not easy at all. His goals alone are an amazing accomplishment that can't be written off. Ronaldo remains extremely decisive for Real Madrid.

Now we're really going off topic but I feel Benzema is so underrated. He does all the spade work for Ronaldo and Bale and his link up play is world class.

You could see in the world cup when he was liberated from such duties he was quite awesome. Pulling defenders all over the pitch with first class movement and he has a lovely touch, vision and ability.

I rate him very highly.

I don't get the big/small team thing for him, he never seems that great against either. Is it dribbling youtube videos that manufacture hype for players like him or what? He's obviously good, but there's a reason he's playing on Chelsea and not top tier team. I'm sure he can dribble by his fair share of garbage English defenses, but I just don't see that as enough to make you anything close to world class.

This is a league that considers Aguero/Kane/Costa their 3 best players, it's tough to take their analysis of the game very seriously.

I don't expect any big future from Hazard. Certainly NEVER any Balon D'or nomination. Probably wastes away most of his career in this hopeless Chelsea squad, watching Europe from the sidelines, clutching his Capital One Cup.
For every Costa/Sanchez/Aguero (who was young and playing in an inferior AM team) there is a Falcao/Ozil/Di Maria who were excellent in La Liga and haven't been able to replicate their form in the PL, different leagues appreciate different qualities and therefore it's no surprise players like Costa will do well in the PL. Let's also not forget that Ronaldo has been more successful in La Liga than in the PL, and players like Modric/Alonso have improved once moving to La Liga.

I feel Benzema has reached a more consistent level under Ancellotti, in previous years he recieved alot of critisism for being to much up and down, these days he is valued highly. I wouldnt trade him for anyone, well, maybe a very few but also very unrealistic options.

Benzema is a poor performer for the NT though. He would be a lot more hyped if he managed to justify his main man mantle there, but he never did.

Call me when neymar can dribble/create like this
Apparently receiving lobbed throughballs perfectly to the foot doesnt constitute the best player for me

Call me when Hazard can finish off a 10-man PSG team without their star striker.

I feel that there is little one can read into it, some players do very well in other leagues, others dont. It doesnt say much about the quality of the league compared to another.

I'm pretty sure Celta de Vigo would have beaten City 3-1 yesterday.

you are very wrong indeed.
Benz has always been alright in terms of link up plays, but fails hard in every other aspects. His couple of good games at the world cup were by a large margin his best performances i recall for the NT.
