Edin Dzeko

Who's saying Dzeko will do it? From what I've seen Zlatan showed way more of skill at Inter, Juve and Ajax than Dzeko at Wolfsburg.

Dzeko's performances and stats for both club and country speak for the lad. He's done more than Zlatan did at his age. It's not about who is the more skillful of the two, it's about character, attitude & application. It's about being counted in all circumstances and situations esp; when the odds are heavily against you. So far Dzeko scores over Zlatan in that regard.
The fact that he is younger, quicker, mobile, a better finisher and can actually head the damn ball in to the net, for my money is a better bet to succeed at Barca than Zlatan. And if i were to bring up European and intl stats, then there would only be one winner. :hooray:

Already wanting a new striker just because he's lacking form is just laughable.

I don't think it's about lacking form. He doesn't fit our system. When something doesn't work, it needs replacement. I'm not calling for immediate change but i don't see the swede lasting with us > 2 years. At the end of the day i want whats best for my club, and if/when we venture in to the market for a new striker i hope it's this Bosnian 'coz he'd be perfect for us.(provided he's available then :()

Btw, do u think it was laughable when others were suggesting Villa and Torres as our new striker? I didn't see u having a prob with that. Double standards n al. :hooray:

my brother hated when we bought ibra and really dislikes his ego and claims we should have bought dzeko for less than half the price and then sell eto, i tried to convince him ibra is still good if he comes through for us but looking at his recent play i have come to agree with my bro but i am still all for ibra proving me wrong :D

I also think it's laughable, I'm not going to post the exact same thing over and over again.

He is a player that is not even on the radar in Spain, no president is going to pay the big sum needed to bring him because his reputation here does not equate to that sum.

It is looking very likely that Milan will finally meet the Wolfsburg asking price this Summer to replace Huntelaar, big mistake. Only other serious buyers were Chelsea so far.

He is far too one-dimensional, I like him, but he's just not Barca material. He doesn't have the skill, the ability to pass the ball, and most importantly, the creativity to play for us. It's not because he's a bad player. In fact he's probably one of the best no. 9s. But it's just against Barca philosophy.

And you think Dzeko would? I really don't know how the Camp Nou would react if Barca's play involved running down the flanks and crossing it for Dzeko to head in every occasion. I think that he would be good as an alternative option when we have a proper Barca-style striker like Villa. Ibra, ideally, was supposed to have been a combination of the two. 2 in 1. He's not been delivering yet unfortunately. Dzeko's far too expensive and hungry to play to be that alternative option though.

Dzeko would not be available that cheaply after the 2009 season he had. All of the top EPL clubs are salivating (especially Man U). He'd be 30m euro minimum due to competition alone.

He is not one-dimensional at all. He can both play as a target man and drop deep. He is a complete centre forward. I'm amazed u say he got no skills or can't pass. He dribbles well and has a good touch. He made 15 or so assists last season and 11 assists so far. Not something you associate with bad passing & no creativity.
