Dzeko has been a supertalent for many years now, even before he moved to Teplice.
So people who know a little about Bosnian football, know his great season is just a prelude for great things to come...

this guy is the perfect striker for Barca 433: He is a natural goalscorer who can play with his back to the goal, has great technique and ball handling, is a good header (so the crosses won't go to waste) and has vision (also gets a lot of assists)
Above all, he is a worker, runs after every ball, can keep a ball in possesion and is very fast and strong with his body.
A striker like him is the dream of every coach... He would make Barca even stronger and can give Pep more tactical options.

Now is the time to get him, because if he plays another season like this one, he will be priceless. And if Barca doesn't get him, another topteam will surely will and then his pricetag will go up.
Now he will cost around 15milj eur I think and he is the best buy possible at this moment.

For Benzema for example you will three times as much

Like Benzema perhaps? I`m not saying he`s a perfect option but he`s miles ahead of Benzema who pops up in every other Barca rumor. I`d just like to see us connected with quality players that aren`t playing for the usual suspect teams. There is no perfect striker on the market atm. and we should expand our search, thats all.

hahaha, touché!

although we do know benzema can play in a 433 and he's scored regularly for two seasons now.

plus he speaks french which is widely spoken at the club.

and has benzema said he dreams of playing elsewhere? I've seen him say he dreams of playing for us and madrid, so I assumed he said neither.

in any case, both are risky purchases but benzema is a safer bet, although I appreciate your reasoning behind dzeko so fair play.

Benzema would cost more. I would hate it if we spent £30 million and it was wasted. We'd be like Man U or Chelsea or Madrid that just throw the cash around.

£9 million is an absolute steal. Outrageous when you consider they paid double for Nigel De Jong.

I have to correct myself; I forgot about Dzeko. I'd take Dzeko over Ibra too. So Forlan, Villa, or Dzeko for me. Dzeko might even be the front runner do to the price tag.

So you would take a player who has been good for one season in one setting over Ibra; a player who has been fantastic for more than one team in more than one setting with more than one playing style?

I take it you are a very smart person?

How many games of Wolfsburg have you watched Rulz?

No matter what my answer to this question is, it will always be irrelevant.

The fact of the matter is that, while Dzeko has been fantastic this season, he has only done so for the one season, with the one team, playing the same style of football.

We don't know if he can adapt to our football style, we don't know if he will do it again next season. I wouldn't mind buying him if he was going to be second choice, but we have Bojan. I also wouldn't mind buying him and loaning him out, but no one would do that after spending alot of money on him.

At the end of the day, i've watched him play around 10 times this season and he was fantastic, but Ibra has been ghreat for longer with more adaptability and more styles of play, so to say you would want a one-season wonder over a proven player is crazy, especially if it's to replace your #1 striker/forward.

If he repeats his season next year, then he would definitely be high on my 'want' list.

Watched the last Wolfsburg match. (Wolfsburg-Hannover)
Dzeko was immense again. He scored a goal but he also set up his players on various occasions. This guy has it all and is still young (23).

Ye, Dzeko is starting to roll again lately, although he missed several chances vs COlogne in the Cup match mid week where Wolfsburg lost. Misimovic is also doing well again, just Grafite isnt in last seasons form yet, at least not in the Bundesliga.
