3 0 at the bernaleo! What a scoreline to head into the break with.

I'm sure people have noticed, we can only turn it on in one half this season. I can't remember games we've bossed both halves.

I'm ecstatic with the result, but as I said in the chat, I'm not thrilled at valverdes tactics. I keep getting left with a what if feeling. If Madrid went ahead like they should have bar the woodwork and some bad finishing, how would we have come back into this game? We somehow keep eeking out the results and now we cannot even say we are yet to be tested, because Madrid (even though its a home game for us) is a big test, and we destroyed them (scoreline wise)

I might sound like the Grinch, but kinda nice to see Madrid's christmas spoiled lol

We stole their Christmas.

I think it's safe to say he didn't...
If anything, he awarded us the first goal by tunnelvisioning on Messi and opening a highway for Raki down the middle.

Marca :"Kovacic produces his own guard of honour for Barcelona to open the scoring".

Wow that is cold:lol:

The first half was all Real Madrid and we were lucky not to concede honestly, and if we did it would have changed the course of the game completely. Agreed with Neeraj that we are a half game team this season.

Nevertheless, elated and so happy that we won. I am especially happy that our players gave their everything.

Flattering scoreline, but the first half is a great reminder of some of the problems we have. Glad we turned it around in the second half and Madrid somehow crumbled.

Valverde needs to enforce more on attack now to support Messi.

Overall great game but we shouldn't get too complacent.

Like it or not, but that was down to Valverde's tactics. And i don't agree that it was all Madrid anyhow. Sure, in terms of possession and apparent goalward intent, but as far as chances are concerned, it was pretty even. Madrid tired themselves out in the first, and we owned them in the second. Valverde saw this coming miles away.

Valverde is certainly no a scrub and i totally want to shit on all those posters, who think we will be walked over by top teams of other leagues in CL. If anything, they will be playing very cautious against is, especially after this el classico. He is smart, but i agree that our football is far from champaign barca footy we were thought to enjoy in the last decade. Just man up and deal with it. We have one genius in this team, that makes thing happen and a couple of good players, one of which is due to retire. He certainly does his best with these resources. Only thing that ticks me off is his distrust for Roberto in MD position. He has certainly improved his creativity and forward/positive passing and is not at all that great at RB. He might not be world class mid, but he's damn close to that and with more experience in the position he'll become one.
