Why would EV suddenly play the guy in a game of this magnitude after dumping him for the last 2 matches. ?

Don't know, but I have the feeling. He started 5 out of 6 CL-games, played the tougher games vs. Atlético, Sevilla and Valencia (gotta admit Bob was injured when we played these two). Roberto starts in games vs. easier opponents where we expect to have the ball most of the time.

It would be weird when Semedo starts after getting dumped for the last 2 matches though, yes.

Wont be easy at all, Madrid will be super motivated as a loss would essentially mean the end of La Liga for them.

Barca will win or draw at least.

Madrid are jet lagged.

They're on a high yes, but that will work in our favor as they'll underestimate us.

The title race will be between Barca and Athleti come January.

Didn't they fly back to Spain last Sunday or something? Almost a week has passed, no more jet lag if there was any.

They will be extra motivated to close the gap between us and them so no, they will give their 110% and we need to do the same.

Contrary to what some people believe, there's not a lot between the teams. I think we can get a draw. Madrid need to win, but at the same time, they need to make sure they don't lose, because losing means they're pretty much out from the title fight.

Maybe they will start in attack, but I'm not convinced they will play an all-out-attack kind of game from begining to end. That's not Zidane's style based on what I've seen so far. Many depend on the kind of day Messi's in. Not a popular opinion, but imo he's not as consistent atm. When he's on he's the best there is, but when he's a bit off, he's easier to block or mark out than in the past.

So, we might see a game where Messi shines and we end up wining or drawing at worst, or we can experience a game where Madrid blocks him almost completely and in this scenario we'll find it hard to get something out of the game. I'm prepared for a loss myself. Think Madrid's problems are motivational atm, and we won't see that in a derby of this magnitute, so their extra edge will turn this game in their favor.

I really doubt we will win. Once they get the lead, we might struggle. When they sit back and protect their lead, that's it. Our 442 cant do any damage after that. It will be counter after counter for them.

I agree and Real is at their best when they have chance to counter attack.

Hope we get a good result. Planning to go out and do some serious drinking with my brothers in law so Barca better not get me in a bad mood. If I see some gypsies in white there's gonna be trouble
