I have never rated Mangala(bit too pricy no?) that highly, but he is physical specimen, together with Kompany that could be some CB pairing. Chelsea already got great defense so no need for another good CB. Or maybe their defenders are not that good and its simply the fact that everyone and their mother parks the bus, might be

Ivanovic can play cb really well and kalas made his debut last season so he will always be cover. Think they are well stocked in that position but they will look to replace terry next summer,

Thanks for the correction, I wasn't sure which it was, but in the end Chelsea don't want to be paying too much for players unless they really, really, really want them, hence us not getting Mangala. That's fine with me, we don't really NEED him.

And yeah, Ivanovic is a CB before RB actually, and since we're looking for a specialist LB that means Azpi will be moving back to RB so Iva can be counted as one of the CBs plus being a RB backup. Kalas is on loan as far as I know, and we also have Nigeria international Omeruo.

Is he owned by a 3rd party?? I didn't know that. Clubs in england can't buy players who are involved in 3rd party owernships so i wonder how they are going to get around it? Probably something dodgy and a lot of backhanders knowing city.

They'll probably transfer some money to Porto so they can buy him off and sell him to Man City.
