9M in three years, he has contract until 2024. So in the books this years Emerson has a cost of 9M/3 = 3M like every other transfer.

30M - 3 - 6= +21M for 2021-2022 budget
-3 for 2022-2023
-3 for 2023-2024

It doesnt work like that.

His 9m would come off this season. The club dont keep amortising down players that have left.

Think we are raising funds for a cheeky transfer with his sale and that of Ilaix. No idea who we can possibly go for though.

Swap Emerson with Ndombele? Major question marks over his workrate and professionalism though.

don't think we are loading up on unwanted players again. laporta made this point clear, but let's see.

the only good addition would be a top signing with all the money we get. if not, just save for winter/summer and that's it.

I only hope we won't sign another Aguero or Braithwaite. Rather save the money and reinforce the team with some proper signings next summer. If we manage to sell Emerson, Ilaix and at least loan Pjanic it will be good enough for now.

We should immediately try to renew Demebele so he doesn't go for free and try to lover Griezmann's and Coutinh's salary. If we manage to do that next summer we might actually sign someone who will raise the quality of this team.

But we sold Malcolm in 2019, in the books for 2019-2020 we were paying 9,891M in the short term. And still we had to pay 10,114M in long term. The same goes with Denis Suarez.

Sales now surely more about clearing the decks for next summer and trying to avoid restrictions due to losses.

Particularly if can only spend 25% of anything brought in and would struggle to get anyone on a decent sized salary in.

That was cash owed on their transfers not their value being amortized.

If we sell Emerson for 30m and Moriba for 15m which are both bestcase scenarios we will end up with around 10m disposable income which is not enough for a transfer, it could be enough to get a loan on very favourable conditions (no loan fee, low wage) but it is questionable if there is any good targets with that criteria.
