Nice midfield. Moore deserves his place, but I'm still not keen on Kane being in there when we have Will Keane or Patrick Bamford we could be calling up.

That selection of the U21 squad is great. Everybody is always saying that England hasn't got any talent but they do! Jack Butland, Luke shaw, and those midfielders are some outstanding talents!

Bit of a weird one. Distinct lack of width, three left-backs, and worse, Jordan Henderson. Not sure Rodriguez deserves a call-up either, not to mention Barkley over Morrison.

There won't be any width in midfield. It should be a 3 man midfield. Glad to see Henderson get a deserved call up. Although a space is wasted with both he and Milner. England only need one of them and Henderson is better and has more potential.

Rodriguez scores goals so why not. Morrison has only done the business in 1-2 games not on a consistent basis yet so why would he deserve a call up? Barkley IS better than him btw......

England should play 4-2-3-1. Gerrard and Wilshere the two central players. Rooney as the AM. Townsend on the right and Welbeck on the left and Sturridge up front.

Disagree. I can't think of many areas in which Morrison is not superior to Barkley, and all of the ones I can are related to his physique. Morrison is a better passer, better dribbler, better finisher, has a better first touch and is more comfortable in possession. You don't see it as much because he's playing for the most direct team in the league, but there's no doubt in my mind that he's more talented than Barkley.

What a joke England are.

England are devoid of any creative thinking and defensively have a shape and organisation that resembles a Sunday Pub team who had a lock-in the night before.

Townsend has perfected the art of looking dangerous every time he gets the ball whilst having zero end product, either as a goalscorer or creator. If I was setting up a team to play England I'd make sure to funnel their play down the right constantly.

Oh the daily mail did a team for the 2014 world cup - in 2007. This is their team:-

GK:- Ben Amos

RB:- Sam Hutchinson
CB:- Micah Richards
CB:- Gavin Hoyte
LB:- Robbie Threlfall

RM:- Dean Parrett
CM:- Michael Johnson
LM:- James Henry

RW:- Theo Walcott
FD:- Jose Baxter
LW:- Scott Sinclair

Yeah great goal and? Look at the percentages...........saying he has zero end product is condusive to that fact.

Conducive - making a certain situation or outcome likely or possible.

Townsend running like a headless chicken and shooting attempts produce in relative terms, zero end product (i.e look at the percentages). Thus Townsend running like a headless chicken and shooting on cue makes a likely outcome of zero end product probable.

I know what conducive means, but you said that saying zero was conducive to that outcome, which made no sense. To say he has zero end product after he scored a goal and started the move for another on his début is similarly nonsensical, especially given that he hit the bar against Poland and the post against Germany. The hype is certainly overboard though, but this is England, so that goes without saying...
