Why does he accept he has to step down then if he did nothing wrong?

So that they can say it was by mutual consent, which always reflects better on the person being shit-canned. Not that his opinion really matters. They could have easily kept him in the job.

Nothing to do with mutual consent making him look good. He couldnt look any worse.

It isnt Allardyce offering to work for that company for a fee that has lost him his job. It is the fact that he has offered to show them how to get round rules his employers have had and boasts about doing to for years.

He wasnt looking to run it past the FA if he was ok to give information to flout those rules or run it by them that they are ok he has done it in past.

If this was just Allardyce looking for £400k to work for an overseas company he wouldnt be getting sacked.

They were correct to sack him and Allardyce knows it was his fuck up.

If he knew of ways around it im sure every one else knows ways around it most likely the fa aswell. If he was sacked does he get paid the remainder of his contract

But again, why? What have they gained by sacking him? What does this achieve that reprimand/fines and a public apology wouldn't?

They havent gained anything really that is not the point of sacking him. They are doing it as have not option no because they think it is an advantage to do it.

But as an organisation they cannot have someone in such a high profile role that is boasting about bending their own rules and selling the information to do it.

They had to sack him and are correct to do so is virtually the unanimous decision bar you opinion it seems.

Only if you're being wilfully ignorant. Loads of people have come out and said it wasn't worth sacking him over, even the Guardian of all places have written about it.

Can you give me a link to that. Not seen any saying he shouldnt be let go.

Correct decision. Hardly a reason to keep him on as is it is a hassle to get rid.

He had discussions with outside parties on how to bend the rules of the organisation he works for and boasted of doing it in past.

In any walk of life you can expect to get your marching orders for that.

So now its 8 PL coaches who are suspected of breaking these rules & under investigation. Will there be anyone left to coach england ? ;)

If they believe him to be innocent then they should've let him stay. Sacking him or how did they put it "mutual consent" after just coaching for a single game is so awful.

Our defence is a complete shambles, Scotland could have easily scored 3 or 4 goals the other night. It could be a massacre tonight against Spain.
