So now we're competing with both Luton and Brighton for the best players and managers? We cannot catch a break.

Hes gonna get eaten alive by the english press just because of his pricetag and his playstyle. He's the tidy midfielder who keeps things going, not the flashy sort like Pogba/Bellingham but the english press wont see that.

They'll see a midfielder with low g+a that cost 120 million. Plus as the highest ever transfer in PL he's expected to have the capability to turn things around immediately for Chelsea.

No idea why he was in such a hurry to leave, could've had a choice of clubs in the summer. Still yet to win a game at Chelsea.

In hurry, and his advisors are prob bad. You don't go to Chelsea when other top clubs want you

Messi elevated half of this squad, pumped up their market value by x10.

Remember Emmanuel Petit? He's famous for scoring the third goal for France at the 1998 WC final. Barca spent 14m euros on him back in 2000, that'd be equal to 60m nowadays with inflation. Enzo Fernandez is the same thing. A player that doesn't make the difference.

He's been pretty good for them IMO, but this Chelsea team stinks and Potter isn't exactly helping them out with some of his choices like playing a stinking Kai Havertz for 90 minutes.

Now if he waited until the summer he could have had offers from Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man Utd, etc.

He's not been too bad but it was really short sighted on his behalf. Not a chance he's playing any European football next season.

Not to be that guy (I'm going to be that guy) but Peti was f'n good at Arsenal.

When we bought him his knees were done, and he got our death curse of trying him as a CB.

Yeah, Petit was a very good player before us.

But Barca being Barca, he played as a CB and fullback even though he was a pivot.

In his biography, published in 2008, the midfielder gave his time at Barcelona a special chapter in which he exposed that coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer did not even know what position he played when he joined the team.

About Fernandez, Benfica sold him right away because they knew that he was overrated due to a WC hype and that teams will eventually figure out that he is a 50m player at max.

Good move by Benfica and his agent.

Potter's not the brightest bulb unrelenting with Havertz. False 9, 442, anything to keep him off the pitch.

Benfica had no say. Chelsea paid his release clause.
