This looks like a PR stunt by the board and MD to get some positive news going.

It's not even clear when Abidal will retire as a player.

And on the left they write the cripple Vermaelen could make his debut december 3. Who's gonna believe any of the crap MD is publishing?

Abidal: "It's not true I will retire, all the talk has been very annoying. There's no deal with Barça. I'm in Barcelona because I live here"

This board prob did that for good PR and thought Abi would keep quiet or give a diplomatic answer.

According to Sport, Abi will terminate his contract with Olympiakos and return to us as an "executive director in the club's schools around the world".

If this is true, it is just wonderful!
