I think he made a mistake by supporting Laporta, should have stayed neutral like Puyol. But I do understand his decision after being disappointed with Rosell.

He's currently attending an Executive Master program by UEFA, so I wouldn't be surprised if Abidal is to be seen as an executive at Barca a few years down the road.
