Another doppel pack. This monster is scoring for fun, over grew Dortmund in one season, really can't see him staying there even one more year. He's just destined for the greatest clubs and greatness if he keeps this up. Yes he played at Salzburg and Dortmund, ultra offensive teams, in which attacking players really shine the brightest, but we saw that in many of Dortmund's past attackers. With Haaland though it's just different. You can see the difference in quality, just like it was with Lewa, when he was there. The only player right now I see on CR/Messi level scoring wise. If he stays injury free throughout his career, which is easier said than done, especially since he's had a few scares this season, with being out for weeks at a time.
This is why I want so badly for us to get him. He would bring us back to the very top much sooner than trying it without him. I think we still will get there, but with him leading the line we would be that much scarier that much quicker, and we need that 'scary' factor again in our team, for opponents to be shaking in their boots a little as they take on the field against us. I'd take him even if he only stays for like 5 years, before he (inevitably) wants to give it a go in the PL (or better yet, Raiola starts mixing shit and wanting to get a new pay day, if they don't limit these agents and their power in transfer negotiations soon, which they might do, even as early as next season).
Even though I don't quite get why you would even want to move from Barca (or Madrid) ever once you're there. Cause even now they're still the pinnacle of football for world class players, I feel. At least for Latinos, but with Barca and Madrid it's different and I think it does apply to other nationalities as well, especially the neutral ones from countries outside of top 5 leagues. Leaving would only be a downgrade. CR himself felt it, when he left or better yet, was kicked out of Madrid. I guess it all depends on the nationality of players, for English players they will always want to play and prove themselves in the PL more than anything, not mind even if they spend their whole career there, same for Germans and Bayern, Italians also comfortable to stay in the Seria A. Anyway, even in his limited time here he'd bring 2-3 new CL trophies to our name, I'm almost sure of it.
