It is really complicated. Yes we will have money for transfers and we can buy players over several installments but we have more dire need with the CB position and our finances probably will not allow us to get into a bidding war (transfer fee plus wages) with other clubs.

Release clauses usually just mean lots of competition from other clubs, insane wage biddings, agent fees and sign on clauses that are essentially the height of full on transfer fees.

We are the biggest mess in football. No world class talent is joining us right now. They just have way more attractive options available to them.
