Erling Haaland

You're denial if you think we have a chance of signing Haaland.

We're in massive debt. He'll cost too much money. Even if we sell players, the money has to go towards the debt, and we have to sign players on realistic fees. Unfortunately, we have to be very sensible about this. We've overpaid on too many players in the past.

Political shitstorm currently with no end in sight as not know if Messi will stay
The sole expectation of replacing him one to one for numbers
Expectation of playing a certain way
etc
etc

The political shitstorm will end next month and we will find out what will happen to Messi soon, chances are he will be gone this summer. Of course any player will feel some sort of burden and pressure to replace him, however some players will like the opportunity to be seen as the person in the limelight (but not everyone will like it I reckon).

I think our chances of getting him are slim, mostly because of our strained finances. That aside, I don't see other disadvantages.

That would make a nice brochure wouldn?t it?

Reality is though Barcelona are broke and La Liga is a mess right now, the league is not even producing enough young talent, especially compared to the Premier League, who are shitting out young players who look the next big thing almost weekly, if the Premier League clubs aren?t producing these players by themselves (which they are in abundance) they are bringing the best from other countries either by poaching them to put in their academies or paying shit loads of money bringing in the best that way (ie:- Amad Diallo), as Barcelona and La Liga aren?t producing now the only way to bring talent to the league is ?buy? readymade stars (like they used to in the past) and they can?t!

Manchester United had a reality check when Sir Alex retied, fans thinking they were entitled to success and this player and that player, not any more. Barcelona have got that coming once one of the greatest players who have ever played the game retires. No longer will you get players wanting to joining Barcelona ?to play with Messi?.

Some of you lot are not old enough to remember Barcelona bang average in the 90s/early 00?s, unable to attract the world?s best players, players turning you down, how much Barcelona?s squad is a mess right now and how much it?s going to cost to rebuild and how Barcelona don?t have any money for this re-build (even Madrid), massive dark cloud over Spanish football, reminiscent of Serie A 1990?s, even worse because back then there wasn?t a league as rich and powerful as the Premier League, which isn?t going anywhere.

I?d even go as far to say Spanish football as fallen behind the Budlesliga and even Italian football, never mind the Premier League which are 3 leagues above of anyone else.

Hyperboles. What is even the basis of this assertion?

Premier League is not above the other leagues, standard is pretty poor outside of City and Liverpool. Same with Spanish football and the other leagues too, football in general is in a bad moment in terms of quality. You are falling for the hype if you think the Premier League is any better, most games are pretty boring especially those between the top teams.

Barcelona and Real are in a transitional period right now but they will get out of it and both have been in worse positions recently and came back pretty quickly. I am old enough to remember the Barca of the 90's and early 00's and they were not bang average, they won 6 League titles in the 90's SIX, it was the clubs most successful era at the time, they called them the Dream Team ffs.

And they have always been able to attract the top stars, Romario, Stoichkov, Laudraup, Rivaldo, Figo ??? Your memory is pretty bad dude. Even at their worst in the early 2000's they were able to bring in players like Ronaldhino, Deco & Eto'o so they have never had any problem getting the best players, they are famous for it

They did struggle for a few years in the early 00's but came back to win the title in 2005 and again in 2006 along with the Champions League so you are talking out of your hat.

The Premier league is far better than likes of La Liga outside of the top few sides if anything the gap is bigger there when compare those teams.

There are players in mid table that would improve Barca, teams in mid table have Brazilian internationals and top young players in them.

Can barely think of any players in La Liga outwith top four that would improve Barca. Probably will be a couple but wont be all that great.

Try listing the top players in La Liga in comparison to EPL as go down the league and it is not even close.

Erling Haaland has now scored as many career Champions League goals as Ronaldinho, Franck Ribery and Sadio Mane. He has 13 appearances in the competition

The difference may not be massive, so to speak, but its definitely there.
The amount of money, and quality of players is higher, just look at a few teams like Spurs or Everton, can you find a high/mid- table side in Spain, not called RM/Barca/Atletico, with as much quality as said sides? I doubt it.

Really? I disagree completely, the standard is quite low, I can't remember any really good Premier League game this season that I have watched and their players are always overhyped, I don't think their mid table players are any better than those in La Liga. Having watched a lot of both Leagues this year I think La Liga is a better watch but both are less exciting than the Bundesliga.

And who are these great players in England? Maybe I have missed them.

Have you watched Spurs and Everton? they are terrible, especially Everton, I don't think I have ever seen such a boring team, my brothers support them and we have watched most of their games and I don't think the word 'quality' is one I would use to describe their players.

Pull the other one, if Barcelona came up against Chelsea they would get thrashings, if Barcelona came up against United they would get thrashings, if Barcelona played Spurs they would get thrashings, if Barcelona played Arsenal they would get thrashings, all these teams play counter and excellent at it, the likes of Pique and Biscuits are slow as fuck and would be cannon fodder for these teams.

Barcelona vs City would just be an annihilation, it would be best Barcelona just not even turning up to avoid embarrassment as they would be beaten so bad it may take 2 or 3 seasons to recover and the exact same if they played Liverpool, even though don?t have a defence and having to play midfielders there. I?d argue even Leicester would give Barcelona thrashings, Vardy/Maddison/Barnes would think its Christmas playing against that big clumsy oaf Pique.

I'd even fancy Everton to do over Barcelona - Carlo as manager (multiple Champions League winner and one of the greatest managers in world football) and the likes of Richarlison/Calvert-Lewin and James in attack and i would certainly take Everton's midfield and defence over Barcelona's.

Spanish sides in the same table-positions are definitely worse.
