He's a strange player in that he is extremely limited in many ways, but is a cheat code for goals. The issue is is it better to spread the goals around a more balanced team rather than funnel everything through him and accept his flaws and how the teams functions less well? I would still suggest the former. I know they won the treble in his first season, but correlation is not causation and I maintain Pep's peak City team was the centurion side.

Forget the next Ronaldo and Messi. Him and Mbappe aren't even the next Suarez and Neymar if we're being honest
And they are in their peak years (Haaland 24, Mbappe 25). They have 3-4 season left before it goes downhill for them. CR and Messi were on the top for +15 years straight.

He's a great goal scorer, but that's it.

Me saying he's just RVN on steroids, rings true every time I see him get marked out a game.

If he doesn't score, you are playing with 10 men.

RVN was far from a great player outside the box, but even he wasn't as terrible as Haaland is in general play lol.

I have never seen a player enscapsulate the dichotomy between 'footballer' and 'goalscorer' to the extent this guy has.

For the first time I am leaning towards not wanting him at Barca. Two things have pissed me off about him greatly recently. Firstly, when City was trailing, he was joking around with an opposing defender whilst waiting for a corner to come in.

Secondly, after a few City loses I have seen him smiling and laughing with opponents as well. Now, this may make him a great guy and all, but is that really what you want from your main striker.

Where losing just doesn't hurt enough.
Where you aren't embarrassed by putting in personal disasterclass performances? Where you are content to get absolutely owned and bullied by the likes of Van Dijk and Gabriel?

How are you all gonna feel if we are trailing the Classico and he is having shits and giggles with fucking Rudiger when Raph is about to swing a corner in? I need my striker to be a straight up killer. A natural born winner. And this guy is definitely not that at all.

In this regard he is the complete opposite of the likes of great Barca forwards of the past like Suarez, Hristo, Messi, Rivaldo, Henry, Villa, Eto, even Neymar.
