Ernesto Valverde - V1

Klopp has been at Liverpool for 5 years and despite all the talk of him being this historic coach that plays scintillating football he still hasn't won a damn thing in England.

All the muppets wanking over Klopp right now would have been calling for his head if he was here after year 2 or 3 when the team was still shit and trophyless.

No chance in hell the reactionary twits known as the Barca fanbase with the attention spans of a 10 year old would've put up with Klopp not winning trophies even though they parrot the flat out lie that they'd prefer attractive football over trophies.

What a bunch of bollocks.

Ahh, a typical illogical response from an EV asslicker.

Too dumb to understand the basic premise of the argument.

I could give a million reasons how inferior your lord Valgreen is to Klopp.

But your head is so far up his arse you still wouldn't understand.

I'm starting to believe @George_Constanza's claim that Fuckverde's apologists like Tackle are being paid by the club to spread Valgreen propaganda.
It aint working though.

Barca fans are the most spoiled, entitled children on the planet. They can talk about how they adore Cruyff's principles all day, they prioritize attacking football over all else and every other piece of contrived shite total football argument you can think of, but the moment the results and trophies stop flowing the death threats and hashtags would start to commence.

Klopp didn't turn Origi or Wijnaldum into gods against us in the second leg, in fact if we leave out the revisionist history they struggled for chances all game long. We just shit the bed as bad as PSG did against us and made mistake after mistake giving them a load of gift wrapped goals. Valverde didn't tell the team to play like braindead morons, nor did Klopp use any tactical genius to beat us. Didn't help that we missed chance after chance either. It was just the perfect storm. Valverde made a few tactical errors, but for the most part our players beat themselves.

Even in the Pep days we had problems away from home and it's only gotten progressively worse.

Klopp is a good a coach, but he isn't some saint like the folks on here make him out to be. He couldn't challenge for anything with Liverpool when they had a substandard squad, still hasn't won anything and bottles finals worse than Valverde bottles big leads. But "muh Klopp turns average players into gods!" FFS, even Valverde won more trophies than him at Athletic Bilbao than Klopp has at Liverpool.

He's a better coach than Valverde, but he has severe limitations as well and if was coaching our current squad his system would exhaust the players by November and he'd become a "coward" too.

I heard it all by now, the whole season Valverde apologists were comparing him to Pep, now that Pep won a very competitive trophy, they are comparing him to Klopp!

Comparing Valverde to Klopp is like comparing Chihuahua to a German Shepherd really! And you know what, I don't like Chihuahuas, Wtf is the point of a damn chihuahua? They barely even qualify as dogs.

This is Valverde:

I mean, hell, I could understand someone defending Valverde by way of saying it can get even worse than Valverde for sure, as Madrid has proven with Lopetegui this season. But these guys actually aim way high. They don't settle for anything less.

What a bunch of bollocks.

When Klopp took over, Liverpool were lucky to make the Europa spots. They are now consistently challenging for the league title and have made it to 2 CL finals in a row.

You have to lay off the tide pods, they aren't good for you

This is the day we should have played Champions League final.

Thank you Valverde. As a reward stay in those caves in Greece that you seem to like and never come back.

I hate this cunt more than ever today lmao.

You should hate Maria more then him tbh, It's done some major damage to the club with reckless spending, incompetence and corruption. The Decisions and general direction of the club all stem from the same cowardly fabric that Maria is made from.

Sometimes i wonder how does Klopp do what he does with guys like Milner and Henderson in midfield (Let's be real, neither are elite midfielders)
Or how did he pull off that upset with Origi and Shaqiri. ?

It's always easier with elite players but at the end of the day the coach and the system he uses has to get the best out of the players available to him.
Do you really think Liverpool would beat us if both teams swapped coaches? Doubt it.

Liverpool players might not be as talented as Barca's, but they compensate the difference in individual quality with intensity, passion, and hard work. Add to those quality the incredible management by Klopp, and you have a better team than Barcelona.

Having the most individually talented players ain't worth anything if those dudes are not managed properly, or don't give 100% or aren't focused or whatever.

People often forget that Guardiola's Barcelona was one of the most hard working teams in football, with the way they pressed and ran for 90 mins. This version is a complete joke by comparison.

You can't take on teams in the semifinals of the Champions League and be so poorly prepared. The 3-0 in the home leg should've been 3-3 at best. We were outplayed for the majority of the tie, by a better team with a much better manager.

Part of the reason 2012 Chelsea for me remains the biggest disappointment in CL. Bigger than Liverpool 2019 where we were beaten fair and square by a better side.

Isn't this what jairzinho was saying? Basically, change managers between teams and Barcelona would beat Liverpool comfortably. And that's not because they have greater players, at least not without Salah and Firminho, but because Klopp created a team and not a bunch of individuals deferring to Mane or Salah like we do with Messi. He'd train patterns and triangles all over the pitch and especially in attack. Furthermore, he is charismatic and knows how to make players go through hell and back for him and his tactics. The total opposite of mindbogglingly dull Valverde.

First of all Klopp would have never used Rakitic and Busquets at the same time, especially after seeing them for more than 2 or 3 matches together. He would have rotated them on the same spot. He would have used combinations of Arthur/Coutinho/Alena - Busi/Raki - Vidal/Arthur/Alena but never Busi and Raki at the same time. Not even if he'd try a 4231, he'd always play with a more dynamic guy besides one of Raki/Busi. Also sprinkle Bob in there for some matches.

Secondly, he'd stop using Coutinho as a winger in a 4-3-3 because he fucking knows him and made him play the best football of his career as the most advanced CM in a 3 man midfield. So he is a sure bet to get Coutinho to play close to his potential. In turn, this would relive Messi of having to create everything.

Thirdly, he'd only use actual wingers as fucking wingers, not some tweeners like Cout and Bob that can only do a job against second division sides. He'd use Malcom more often and develop him along the way. Ditto with Dembele who hits the ball with both feet so he'd know how to use use him on the left side too. I bet that he would also convince Messi to stick to the right side a little bit more. And because he knows how to organize a press, unlike our moron, he wouldn't have Messi running like mad to cover the defensive side of the flank because the ball would be won back in the in the opponent's half as opposed to park the bus tactics. As a side note about wingers, he would like a look at a specialized left winger like Sane this summer because we don't have one ffs.

Fourthly, Suarez would not have his spot secured with his donkey touch and lousy attitude.

Also going by how he developed the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold or Robertson, he'd likely transform Semedo into a world class right back. Bob's days as a RB would be over and Wague would fight it out with Semedo for that RB.

Anyway, saying all this, this summer he would get rid of Rakitic/Busi and Suarez without any remorse. With De Jong coming and other transfers covered by money coming from our sales and whatnot, we'd be not just one of the favorites but the overwhelming favorites to win the CL this year.

Yeah, we'd have beaten Liverpool like a redheaded stepchild if the managers were reversed and the likes of Salah and Firminho would not be available for Pool. Lmao, just imagine 2 donkeys like Origi and Shaquiri doing anything of note under freaking Valverde.
