Liverpool players might not be as talented as Barca's, but they compensate the difference in individual quality with intensity, passion, and hard work. Add to those quality the incredible management by Klopp, and you have a better team than Barcelona.
Having the most individually talented players ain't worth anything if those dudes are not managed properly, or don't give 100% or aren't focused or whatever.
Isn't this what jairzinho was saying? Basically, change managers between teams and Barcelona would beat Liverpool comfortably. And that's not because they have greater players, at least not without Salah and Firminho, but because Klopp created a
team and not a bunch of individuals deferring to Mane or Salah like we do with Messi. He'd train patterns and triangles all over the pitch and especially in attack. Furthermore, he is charismatic and knows how to make players go through hell and back for him and his tactics. The total opposite of mindbogglingly dull Valverde.
First of all Klopp would have never used Rakitic and Busquets at the same time, especially after seeing them for more than 2 or 3 matches together. He would have rotated them on the same spot. He would have used combinations of Arthur/Coutinho/Alena - Busi/Raki - Vidal/Arthur/Alena but never Busi and Raki at the same time. Not even if he'd try a 4231, he'd always play with a more dynamic guy besides one of Raki/Busi. Also sprinkle Bob in there for some matches.
Secondly, he'd stop using Coutinho as a winger in a 4-3-3 because he fucking knows him and made him play the best football of his career as the most advanced CM in a 3 man midfield. So he is a sure bet to get Coutinho to play close to his potential. In turn, this would relive Messi of having to create everything.
Thirdly, he'd only use actual wingers as fucking wingers, not some tweeners like Cout and Bob that can only do a job against second division sides. He'd use Malcom more often and develop him along the way. Ditto with Dembele who hits the ball with both feet so he'd know how to use use him on the left side too. I bet that he would also convince Messi to stick to the right side a little bit more. And because he knows how to organize a press, unlike our moron, he wouldn't have Messi running like mad to cover the defensive side of the flank because the ball would be won back in the in the opponent's half as opposed to park the bus tactics. As a side note about wingers, he would like a look at a specialized left winger like Sane this summer because we don't have one ffs.
Fourthly, Suarez would not have his spot secured with his donkey touch and lousy attitude.
Also going by how he developed the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold or Robertson, he'd likely transform Semedo into a world class right back. Bob's days as a RB would be over and Wague would fight it out with Semedo for that RB.
Anyway, saying all this, this summer he would get rid of Rakitic/Busi and Suarez without any remorse. With De Jong coming and other transfers covered by money coming from our sales and whatnot, we'd be not just one of the favorites but
the overwhelming favorites to win the CL this year.
Yeah, we'd have beaten Liverpool like a redheaded stepchild if the managers were reversed and the likes of Salah and Firminho would not be available for Pool. Lmao, just imagine 2 donkeys like Origi and Shaquiri doing anything of note under freaking Valverde.
