You always want a coach and sporting department on the same page on things.

However, Valverde is the last guy I would trust when it comes to his ideal transfers due to the fact he has a very narrow and unimaginative view on stuff. Knowing him he would request the likes of Ander Herrera, Parejo, Inigo Martinez or any other midtable player you could think of or that he's worked or that he knows.

If he gets all mad that he can't get his special requests then he can leave. This is about a good as it's going to get for him anyway, the only clubs I see wanting him after this is over is your textbook Europa League teams such as Bilbao, Betis, Sevilla, etc.
