Ernesto Valverde - V1

This can only go two ways.

1. The players will agree with him and really step up their performance and play with a higher intensity. Get their shit together. We will see a different team very soon.

or

2. They instead get annoyed by Valverde and blame him and his tactics for the struggles instead, and then this all goes full Benitez with some shitty results in our upcoming tough schedule.

Number 2 it is...

You guys who want a new coach, remember that in Barca's history is to: almost always look for Barca's DNA coach who was either a player, a coach, a director, an assistant here.
Or, who is a Dutch.

In the last 20 years: Van Gaal (x2), Sera Ferrer, Rexach, Antic, Rijkaard, Pep, Tito, Tata, Lucho, EV.
11 coaches, the only one without Barca or Dutch connection were Antic and Tata.
Antic was at least a coach at Real, and won a double with Atletico before Barca.
Tata is the only different coach (but: Messi connections?)

So, I am not sure how do you expect a new coach.
And WHO would that be?

The president, the board, socios, fans=always want someone connected with a club and who will continue to play in *our style*.

If you want a new coach, our new coach will probably be a coach from a Bteam, Cocu, Van Bommel, Van Bronckhorst, Ronald Koeman, Xavi, Abelardo... insert any random former player.
La Masia (even though we don't have domestic players currently) is teaching players to play football in our way.
And you can't know just hire someone like let's say Klopp, lol.
Our board/socios will never do that.

So, be careful what you wish for, since we'll probably get De Boer or Cocu in the end.

About our team today:
Pique=horrible
Busquets=it is painful to watch him against counters
Rakitic=horrible
Roberto=horrible
Dembele=very bad
Suarez=standard, very bad

Majority of players are past their prime.
And young guys are of a very questionable quality.

In short, we'll probably get Koeman playing with exactly the same Gala 11 soon :lol:

to play an unattractive football with a squad like this.. that is his biggest achivement. #salute not manager would do it unless it s your brother from another mother Enrique.

funny that hamstrings and injuries started kicking off seriously now that he started «rotating».. he is really clueless.. heard about rotating so he does is for the sake of it. no vision

Do you still stand by your bet that EV will win more CLs in 3 years at Barca than Pep will in his next 10 years as manager?

Expecting Van Bommel or Gio taking over Ernesto because of Barca DNA

They have done pretty well in their respective club tho.

Which makes them alternatives for our board.
