Is this forum run by 12 year olds? Can we stop changing the threads titles, and I'm not only referring to this one. Most of them are not even remotely funny or creative.

Not really, most chances weren't great at all. 2 shots by Milner, 1 really difficult touch for Mane, 1 good shot by Salah and 1 sitter missed. That's 1 great chance total.

By comparison Barca had the Vidal chance, the Suarez chance and the Dembele chance at the very least that they should be scoring. Half-chances are something Barca has been giving up for ages. And it's good to concede more of those than clear-cut sitters for the opposition.

WTF are you talking about? were you in the game's chat room yesterday? The whole chat system was on the brink of collapse from all the nervousness we had watching our team getting so dominated at Camp Nou and Liverpool missed setters. Mane missed a one on one chance, Salah missed an open goal and another hit the post, Milner-who was unmarked-shot was saved by marvelous MATS. Those are right off the top of my head. To say that Liverpool was wasteful is an understatement, they were creative enough to produce a huge chunk of chances but unfortunate to miss even the easiest of them plus we have MATS.

You simply cannot bottle so many chances against a side that have Messi. We are so clinical this season even with few chances we create. I think you as a Madrid fan will know this fact more than anyone if you have watched the Clasico.

This is one of the UCL that might be won by a weak team, Real and Chelsea did it before NOT because they were good teams but they had Jesus, Allah, Yahweh, El Ratoncito Perez, Lady Luck, Zahnfee, the tooth fairy, Zubic vila, Santa Claus and Lucifer in their side. We have MESSI!

The chat was full of hysterical people. It's not a marker of anything. That lot would have a mental breakdown if they forgot to bring home milk from work that day. Mane's chance was decent but the ball was hard to reach and it's actually great play by him to even get there. Milner's chance was a half chance, and the only proper chance was the Salah post hitting chance, a result of complacency after 3-0.

You are forgetting that Barca had chances to make it more than 3-0. Vidal had a great chance and Dembele ruined two chances at the end.

Also, comparing this side to the Chelsea 2012 is laughable.

It will change after the treble until first match next season where De Jong starts on the bench.
Then we will be back to 'Retardo has destroyed our club' again, bet on it.

I commented in the other thread.
People will call him Retardo, an idiot and a bad man manager, whenever:
1. Arthur won't play (we'll have Busi, Raki, Frenkie, Arthur, Vidal, Alena)
2. Arthur-Frenkie won't play together, since, you know, that is our "future"
3. When Dembele won't play. Our future also.
4. When Dembele will be subbed.
5. When Frenkie won't play. Our future again.
6. When Alena won't enter as a sub. Future again.
7. When Malcom will ride the bench.
8. Insert Puig from time to time. Our future, EV an idiot.
9. Insert Semedo as a starter.
10. Insert a new crazy idea: Wague needs to play as a 2nd RB right away. He is our future, as always.
11. or, if we'll buy De Ligt: bench Pique, since the future is here.

Basically, our team should be:
Dembele - Suarez - Messi
--- Arthur - Frenkie -----
-------- Busi -------------
Alba Lenglet De Ligt Semedo
--------- Mats ------------

The most desirable subs and rotations in every match:
1. Malcom subbed in, but NOT for Dembele, but hopefully for Suarez, then we can play Malcom-Messi false 9-Dembele.
2. Alena in whenever possible
3. Puig getting as much minutes as possible
4. giving minutes to Wague as soon as possible, the same as in Puig's case

Players who shouldn't play too much and should be phased out ASAP:
1. Rakitic, the mortal enemy of our club and the reason why we play ugly football
2. Vidal. He is a fighter, but we need to sell him and Raki so that we could have 5 midfielders of more or less the same profile: Arthur, Frenkie, Alena, Puig, Busi.
No need for defending, fighting. Forget that shit, we need to move to Pep's ideas ASAP, since EV proved that his ideas are bad and Pep is setting the world on fire in a CL every year and his tactics and player's choices are unbeatable.
3. Roberto shouldn't be a RB anymore. Semedo needs to play all the time, especially to form a partnership with Dembele.
Plus, we need to turn to a young Wague ASAP. He played 1 match for us and is ready for a CL semis next season. Roberto is done as a RB, we are secured for the next 10 years with Semedo and Wague.
4. Pique should also leave. He can stay in the next season, but ONLY as a sub, since De Light MUST play from the day 1 as a starter. He is already twice the player Pique ever was, so another no brainer, but EV doesn't get it.
5. Busi should leave in a season or two, so that we could go back to Pep's days and rule the world with Frenkie-Arthur-Alena/Puig.
6. Suarez has to leave also. We need to buy either Jovic or Felix. Both of them are already twice the player Suarez ever was.
If we had Felix yesterday, we would have won 8:0.

All in all, it is quite simple:
1. sell ALL senior players who won 4 La Ligas in the last 5 years, except Messi
2. and play EVERY SINGLE young player, since all of them will be way better players than Pique, Suarez, Raki.
Also, buy every single young talent from market, play him right away from the day 1, sell older players who play currently on his position and fire a stupid EV right away if he doesn't play every single kid as much as possible.
After all, "Arsenal's project" of putting all faith in youth and selling all older players has proved to be the most successful project in a modern football history and we should do everything to copy it and follow their steps.

I mean, only an idiot would keep Rakitic, Suarez and Pique, when you can play right away with Puig and Wague.
But, our coach is "stupid" and this is the darkest era of our history :valverde2:

In short, people who hated EV till now, will hate him even more in the next season because there is no way that ALL out of 9 forum's favorites will be able to play too much: Dembele, Malcom, Arthur, Frenkie, Alena, Puig, Semedo, Wague, De Ligt.
Btw, what happened with Oriol?
We need to add him into maths also.

You are the only EV fan that posted in the chat room, I give you that, the rest disappeared or started chatting when Messi scored the 3rd goal.

Yes, we could have scored more after Messi's 3rd goal, but that's because the game became more open, Liverpool went all to score an away goal leaving us with open space. This could easily have been a draw or a win for Liverpool if Messi had an off day. Fortunately for us, he was on fire!

Chat room being used as an argument. Oh dear.

1 easy chance for Salah. He didn't have 2. That is it.
Milner being on the end of any shot is something you can take any day of the week, man only scores uncontested penalties. Mane was through full-speed onto a cross - a half chance as he couldn't reach the ball and take a proper touch. And yet you place equivalence on every chance you concede and act this isn't something you can live with, especially since more often than not opponents miss those chances. For months we heard the same shpiel. If it's not Benzema or Vinicius missing (difficult) chances, it's somebody else. Every time it's Barcelona getting ripped apart and giving up chances, and opponents missing them. Ever made the correlation that it doesn't matter all that much if you're clinical on the other end? Particularly at home where your win rate is sky high?

And it's like you can't fathom being in damage control as a club. "WE'RE A WEAK TEAM LED BY MESSI". Lol, diddums, thought reality would have set in a few years ago.

There is no manager in the world to make you play attacking football and not have you liable at the back with the squad full of slow 30-year olds. And then your next argument is that you're either not investing or not using what you've invested in Malcoms or Alenas. Uh.. you are? For a variety of reasons the way you're managing it is working. For fucking ages we've heard how Rakitic is going to get jaded because he plays all the time. Where all the critics?

Everyone and their mother would love to have what you have.

"BUT BUT WE'RE BETTER THAN THIS".

A-fucking-MEN

now i've seen it all - madrid fans defending our team better than our own fans :worthy:

Is the team for you = Valverde?!

So if someone criticizes Messi or Dembele or Suarez, it's ok with you? But criticizing the manager is blasphemy because he is sacred for you? Ok!

I have seen some replies in the past few Months to Wolfe and Morten like:
You are trolling.
You are defending EV and our tactics because you know that we are shit and that it is good for your club if this "shitty" manager stays at Barca.

Then you stop for a second and think.
Wait, Barca is on a verge of winning 5 trophies out of 6 possible in 2 seasons?
In which universe is that GOOD for Real Madrid and why on Earth would they want us to continue this way?
Imagine RM's fans sitting in their dark rooms, smiling like a witch and thinking: Yesss! EV is staying, and keeping his favorite players who can't seem to lose a game no matter what they do, lolololo! Barca is doomed! Happy days!

Dellusion is quite strong here regarding some aspects like EV, beautiful football and overrating youth players.

He got everything right with the exception of starting Roberto ahead of semedo.

If barca played as people wanted them to, with possession and high line, it would have suited klopp who wanted to play on the counter. Liverpool is at their worst when forced to break a team down and valverde wisely went for the defensive approach, with Vidal/busi/rakitic in midfield to match their intensity. Rather than conceding golden chances as Liverpool get behind a high line, barca only gave up half chances in their deep block, with the only proper chance to salah after 3-0.

The criticism I had of ev before the game was not playing semedo as he is faster and better defensively than Roberto. I proved to be right as the danger from Liverpool came down his side and when valverde realised his mistake and switched to 4-4-2 with semedo rb and Roberto rm, the game stabilised.

Great post and respect for you coming on the forum even when Barca are doing so well. Can’t say the same about the forum’s resident PSG fans.
