Ernesto Valverde - V1

Yes, it's our fault that we are responsible for Valverde not being good enough and Rakitic no longer being the player he once was.

Us fans rambling on forums and twitter is the reason why Messi's peak years are being wasted.

Lol at us being in chaos after Neymar left. Fucking lol. As if Neymar was anything else than "just" a top player for us, as we've had dozens along the years.

Yea, we only scored 35 goals more than the 2nd placed team in La Liga without Neymar this season, with a half injured Dembele and out of form Coutinho. Imagine a top player instead of Neymar who could stay fit the full season. That's another 15-20ish goals in La Liga on top of the normal output from Messi & Suarez. These two alone have scored 2 goals more than Atletico this season in Spain.

As long as Messi is around, we're never in chaos in La Liga. Worst we did in the last decade with him as an MVP is almost winning it.

Funny thing is I consider Ben Hayward to be a pretty good writer when it came to Barcelona in the past.

Now? it seems like him and numerous other Journalists tied themselves to defending Valverde's honor even if we have humiliating results. Out of all the managers we had in recent years how the fuck does Valverde of all people have a cult of defenders.

Lucho? Got a lot of stick during his final times here while with Valverde it's like "IT'S THE FANS FAULT THAT WE ARE WASTING MESSI'S PRIME YEARS". Seriously what the fuck.

I could maybe cope with cutting Valverde some slack while understanding that he is a limited manager for our ambitions. Like in the sense that it is normal for a team to be run by not so great managers from time to time, knowing that specimens like Pep, Klopp, even prime Mourinho, are rare. That's it. You could have some sympathy for him because the situation at the club in the Champions League is indeed difficult. It's the same sympathy we had when poor Tata Martino had to deal with Pinto in goal in the most crucial part of the season back in 2014. Sympathy doesn't equal merit though.

I understant shit happens, and we have to ride the storm in CL under Valverde, but this doesn't mean we get to pretend he is anything more than just an average manager that has been badly exposed in CL.

That Haywood chap talks about Valgreen as if he magically rescued the club from a trophy drought.
Its true he won a double right after Neymar left, but he hasn't taken this club forward IMO.

In the Pre-Valgreen years the club won 6/10 liga titles plus 3 straight copas right before his arrival.
That also includes being treble and double winners on multiple occasions.

So what exactly has he achieved that could be considered extraordinary?
Nothing to be honest.

The only new achievement is catastrophic defeats in the CL.
I would go as far as saying he's basically riding the wave of a decade long run of domestic success insprised by the greatest player ever.

The statistics of the last 10 years would show that.
So are most fans justified for wanting him gone?
100%

why the fuck cant the board be ruthless enough to fire an idiot manager who gave us 2 ucl humiliations in a row?? and while playing undesirable football throughout those 2 seasons. what more do they need to see that EV is just not a good manager?
At this point, he'll stay even if we lose against Valencia. Shameless idiot wont even resign.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
This guy is an idiot, saying stuff like "we are going to go all out" for the Copa final... The team hasn't done such thing in two whole years and now he wants to convince us that all of a sudden it's going to happen for a final that only matters to them to save face for being a mediocre bunch?

I totally expect the usual cowardly football and only showing some kind of drive after conceding... Seriously, fuck this guy...

We have gotten to the part where there are people trying to defend Valverde because he's the so-called "Underdog".

It turned a good segment of the Barca fanbase into glorified bootlickers that they should lay down and accept mediocrity while shitting on people for remembering the good football we played under the likes of Pep. It's like "Hey fuck you guys for liking that stuff we played years ago, Just accept we can't do better than what Valverde is having us do!"

Yeah, this is the same garbage mindset that turned Rakitic from a decent underrated Midfielder into one of the most overrated CMs we have ever had and how it turned Roberto into a feel-good story of how he defied the odds and became a good squad player to perhaps one of the most overrated RB's we have ever had because "Sure they can't be Alves nor Xavi but we can't get any better than them so shut up and stop criticizing the players!"

It's garbage mindsets like this is why it hurting us. A large number of fans, Players have grown too accustomed to the idea that "Change is bad and there's no way we can improve better than this because the previous generation of players and coaches were too good"

It is true that trying to replace the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Pique, Busi, Alves and a coach like Pep is a hard act to follow. But it doesn't mean we should just sit here and not make attempts to improve things as things can really get much better.

 Being embarassed by Roma and Liverpool.

Where were these two teams 2 years ago when Valverde was named at Barcelona? Roma were in Europa League and Liverpool weren't in any European Competition. Tells you all you need to know about how much 'progress' we've made under Valverde in the Champions League.

there are no words... tragic, really tragic.
We clearly saw it on the field, 11 lions versus 11 lambs. They had bloodshot eyes, they couldn't wait to enter the pitch, they wanted to beat the shit out of the barca players....and we looked like a bunch of scared schoolboys.
Liverpool (as pretended by Klopp) has shown to have fucking big balls, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. We are pussy, simply like that.
There is no leader on the pitch, no leader as coach... not a captain like Puyol or a player like Mascherano who could kick some ass.

Kinda funny how Pique used to trash talk and now he's quiet these days.

Guess Real winning the CL 3 times in a row+Hummilation in the CL under Valverde forced him to not trash talk. Hell, he's being made a fool of by AS Roma's twitter account.
