Ernesto Valverde

This is what I'm thinking too. Griezmann has showed he's ready to work his ass off, so Arthur and de Jong wouldn't get as exposed if say Messi would play as CAM.

It's also a familiar role for Griezmann playing behind a striker as he's done before with Giroud and Costa. He'd also get the freedom to rotate with Messi.

Thats what every sane mind would come with.
Griez behind messi and suarez, with dembele/fati occupying lw position.
Not that im manager or good tactician, but with griez at am, fast lw and messi and suarez upfront teams wouldnt go all out on us. Theres no one stoping opposite full backs to get going in our half because there is no real danger from the flanks. Conte setting up 3-5-2 against us clearly indicates what other teams think of us. Crowd the middle because no matter what we arent attacking from flanks with griez and messi at wings. Combination of griez and semedo on the left is fucking tragedy. Full back with right foot, left wing with left foot and we dont play on crosses. It doesnt take a genius to realize that we would suffer hard and be so predictable.
Let opposition attack us through middle, with frenkie and arthur there - good luck to them, retrieving the ball pass to griezmann, and then he have:
Pass to lw for fast counter attack with suarez already in final third
Pass to suarez between the lines in final third
Pass to messi with semedo overlapping, suarez in final third, griez behind him and fati/dembele and alba on the other flank
Link up play with messi, de jong and arthur.
Advancing with the ball and waiting for the return ball on the edge of 16m area.

Thats several options for only ONE player. Talking about being unpredictable.

But, it is what it is.

Read that some board members believe he'll stay until 2021.

That’s just depressing. Even though I don’t think Valverde is as bad as some cules think and our problems are due to multiple things, I wanted him out after half a year

Maybe we should try the 4-2-3-1 too. Normally I wouldn't want to move from 4-3-3, but considering Valverde doesn't play a good version of that system, maybe we should try something else.

Was it just me, or did we play this system when Vidal came in against Inter? I tend to follow the ball when i watch games so i might be wrong

If I were to use pigeons instead of the internet , I would get more reliable and relevant news than Messimagician.

Well apparently there will be a new 8 part behind the scenes documentary of last season released this November.

A chance for people to get a glimpse of what Valverde is like in the dressing room. From the trailer, there was a scene where he was emphatic in telling the players to stick to their positions and not move down for one of the games.

Impressive thing is that Barca got John Malkovich to narrate it.

Not Tata v2, arguably the best manager in Latin America. That said, for me there's one clear option we should target and do whatever we can to get.

Rumors that emerged in Argentina in case Malmierda gets sacked this season. Unlikely to occur any time soon, unfortunately, although I could actually see Gallardo leave River if they retain the Copa Libertadores this year to coach us.
Marcelo Gallardo is one of the best managers in Latin America if not the best nowadays. His River sides have had tremendous success in recent years (mostly in cup tournaments though) and they play some great dynamic possession football. The Ajax Amsterdam of Latin America playing wise but with a lot more continental success.

Would take Gallardo over Valverde any day of the week.

Ignore the fool that is Pedrerol.
