Fati played bad and deserved to be subbed off.

Who cares if he played bad. He is getting zero playing time. If he’s going to get subbed up 3-1 at home then he shouldn’t be in the first team. Perfect match for him to take his lumps and learn what 1st division football is about.

I will never blame Valverde again for anything. The team is clearly, and self cousicuously, on auto pilot. The manager is just there for appearances and protocol and I have good reasons to believe that everyone is aware of that inside the club: board, players and manager. So from now on. Any bad performances it's the players.

That's not good for their development, young players need discipline and need to earn their place on merit not jsut becasue they're young.

No one knows this more than EV. ps Suarez had a fine game.

It's good that he played with Messi. It's kind of different with him, and I think all of Fati's games were without Messi and also without Suarez. This is his first game with Messi and Suarez as the other two in the front 3 I think. It is normal to be more nervous when playing next to Messi than Carles Perez.

He was a bit sloppy with easy passes (he also did that in his previous appearances but to a lesser degree). I felt his finish after Messi's pass was good, but really unlucky with the intervention by the defender (that guy played his heart out). Fati also gave his all in the defense when needed which is good. Overall he was decent.
It still says a lot that he is 16 and we already see and judge him as a first team player, that should be the mentality.

Iirc, one of his 1st games was with Messi. Think Messi was brought in late? Can't remember...

Yup, it's true about the nervousness. Most players feel it, but he handled it pretty well. Liked the fact that he tried 2 shots in quick succession. Showed confidence even after losing the ball. Immediately huddled back to get it, along with Dej with whom he jives really well.

Good ensemble game overall. Everyone pressing well, defending and attacking together. Liked Vidal's dynamic runs that were made possible by Dej and Busi's tight control of the mid.

Really liked Lenglet's goal after Messi's curved cross into the box from the left :)

Wanna see more and more players taking shots at goal like that.

Valverde: "I didn't know anything about Neymar in the summer."

Dembélé, out of the squad list due to Valverde sanctioning him [md]

Valverde pays attention to the danger of Levante and describes the next two games as "fundamental" [md]

Valverde: "Levante are a side that press high, that attack with many players and have a deadly counter-attack, with very fast players."

Can't wait for his non-answer about Dembele, probably will be word to word to "Dembele is a great guy, still struggling to make it to the first squad, hope I can let him play next game"

Griezmann limited at left wing again while Suarez will get another 90 despite another disasterclass......

Zero Shame I swear......

Too scared of Levante to not play Junior. And with that said, having Semedo and Roberto on each side isn't the 'safe' option either. It's really stupid.

We didn't have LB backup last season and that costed us big time. Alba was awful when we needed him the most. This summer we finally bought biggest LB prospect in Spain and now he is watching games from the stands?!?! Fabulous decision to play RB as a LB when you don't need to! This basically sums up Valverde as a coach! WHAT A FUCKING MORON!
