Barça had 30+ more hours to rest and prepare for this match yet Real madrid dominated them physically. Plus they were technically superior and better balanced.

My blood is fucking boiling rn.

(Rafael hernandez journalist on #Elclàsico.)

The moment Valverde started Rakitic and Sergi Roberto on the midfield, we knew this match wasn't going to be a pretty one and that Frenkie De Jong would have to do everything by himself.

Valverde played for the draw at home and against a Real Madrid side that's nothing special. He is coaching Barcelona, not Getafe! We are past criticizing the coach for being a coward, but again: he's a disgrace.

Took Barcelona thirty minutes to take a shot at Real Madrid's goal. Meanwhile Real Madrid rightfully prioritized the midfield and created most of the clear cut scoring chances in the match. The worst ninety minutes in a Clásico that I watched.

Barça lacked aggressivity to make matters worse, Vidal, Sergi Roberto and Rakitic playing, and not even that they managed to bring to the game. The midfield was devoid of anything from beginning to end, with De Jong the only one trying to create and attack.

Ter Stegen with a world class match once again. The moment the defense and midfield fails, he's there to make saves or incredible long passes.

Suarez barely tracks back, doesn't press or do anything besides finish rarely or wasting good passes. This won't end well for Barcelona in the Champions League. Again.

Messi tried to do everything, he was let down by his teammates and his coach. Again.

A match to forget, another opportunity lost. First time in 17 years that El Clásico ends goalless.

Solution:. Sign Neymar :troll:

Jokes aside, nice post there.
I think it's the first time i say this

This Madrid team genuinely looks like a team wanting to win laliga. And of course CL is impossible. That means this pathetic coach will leave through backdoor.

It is not us vs. them ... it is us vs. us

In life you are better off comparing yourself to your own previous version.. that is the most healthy positive type of competition. I don’t care if we win La Liga and the Champions under this dog .. I don’t want to watch a Barcelona team that has lost its identity and style of play. Its about how we play.. winning and losing comes after because unless you are always lucky or always unlucky, in the long run your style of play and identity will greatly determine your average long run performance

As time is passing by I am starting to realize that 4-4-2 system he used in his first year here was probably the only sane thing he did during his time as a Barca manager. It was probably the most logical thing to do since we had no wingers and in that way it was much easier to fill the gap behind Messi. It was ugly but it was effective in some way. That season except that horrible Roma game and that debacle against Levante we actually looked solid in defense. His current 4-3-3 system is probably the worst formation I have ever seen while watching Barca. It's a hybrid 4-3-3 without a RW and with a Griezmann who is playing more in defense than attack on the other side. Our RB's are basically useless in both directions and our CF doesn't track back at all. So in majority of games we are actually defending with 7 players and if we manage to get the ball our midfielders don't have strength to make runs at all. IMHO we'll whiteness the worst trashing ever from the first serious team we'll face in CL this year.

I agree, the 4-4-2 in his first season was the best thing he did for us. After that it went downhill (with our transfer policy being the biggest culprit).
