Ernesto Valverde

This piece of shit embarrassed us in the CL twice in a row. The only way to make up for that is win the CL. Until then, keep the pitchforks out. Wasn't that good today anyway. Just better than you'd expect him to be.

If he does win the CL this season, I will get a Valverde avatar for 6 months.

The players embarrassed us as much as Valverde

Horrible?
No improvements?
Don't play youngsters?

Oh please. Griezmann alone bailed him out.

Played lots of youngsters? Yeah, has aaabsolutely nothing to do with many players being injured. He was forced to do it, otherwise it wouldnt never ever happen.

Betis were not so great last night. But we must remember that if people weren't absolutely furious at Valverde for last year's debacles and if Suarez and Dembele weren't injured the starting line up would consist of Busi, Raki, FDJ/Vidal, Suarez, Griezmann (LW) and possibly Roberto (RW). We would struggle to create and be static as hell.

It takes catastrophic failures and injuries for this man to try out anything new. That is the problem.

These injuries were a blessing in disguise. But will he make anything positive out of all this? Remains to be seen..

Ultimately these league games at Camp Nou are not really what Valverde is going to be judged on. He'll be judged in the CL ko

plot twist: valverde is actually an undercover Madrid agent, sent to ruin barcelona from within, wasting our money on useless players and ensuring annual CL humiliations

Absolutely. Like all managers:

Spurs 1 - City 0
City 1 - Liverpool 2
Liverpool 3 - City 0
Monaco 3 - City 1
Atletico 1 - Bayern 0
Barca 3 - Bayern 0
Bayern 0 - Real Madrid 4

Fucking lol. Trolls like BBZ and Tackle feed on low attention spans and short term memory.

Valverde can get carried by Messi 2 years in a row, give us worse performances over time as a coach, and get completely obliterated in the CL not once but twice. And after the reset of a summer, a few preseason games, 1 loss already in our opener, and then 1 win against a collapsed Betis side at home....... Suddenly we're being ungrateful about this new perfect Valverde who does everything right??? And he actually deserves praise for learning from his mistakes? Too little, too fucking late buddy. Anyone else would do a 10x better job than Mr. "Learning from Mistakes", mistakes that no one else would've made so badly in the first place.

In no other company or industry in the world can a guy fuck up as monumentally as Valverde, keep his job, then still have apologists saying "oh but look at the great improvements" in the days he manages not to have a Chernobyl level disaster on the pitch.

Legit, the people in this thread saying that are the kind of people who would give Dyatlov control of another nuclear facility after he already caused Chernobyl.

I don't give a single fuck what this guy does from now until April/May. I also wouldn't give a fuck if he succeeds beyond that, because NO ONE deserves praise for acting like a blind squirrel that finds a nut randomly. He has been given an incredible squad and huge opportunities for success and fucked up massively, and now that we've bought Griez/FDJ and keep spending hundreds on hundreds of millions he's supposed to be praised if he finally manages to NOT fail? Do you really think anyone else could do worse, given that many chances and that many financial boosts to make your job easier?

He even still manages to be a constant fuckup, setting up FDJ way out of position up at LAM. Not playing Arthur at all. Generally poor tactical instructions and cohesiveness. Our inability to play well at San Mames is 100x more indicative of the shakiness of this team than a heavy flexed beatdown of Betis at home. In fact, how many years has it been that Barca gets praised for SMASHING minnows and being up 10 points in the league by December only to completely capitulate the CL down the line?

Fuck, I wish people where I work would believe in me so unconditionally.

Maybe Valverde is just a genius. He lowered expectations as much as possible knowing Barto doesn't sack him anyway to now get praise for every small thing he does right because at this point everyone always expects the worst from him

Can people change their ideology? Can they alter their very core? This will be a philosophical season for old man Ernie.
