Its the French though, they are notoriously lacking in the security department. To be fair though you cant really prevent it entirely but you can do much better than whats being happening this week.
Visiting a Euro's/wc is still on my bucketlist but I always either lacked the money or the event was too far away. Now im not even thinking about going to France with the potential terrrist attacks and hooliganism going on. Next up we got Russia and Qatar for the wc.
Maybe euro's in 2020
On hooliganism, I always considered it a poor excuse for people to channel their frustrations in life. Look at an interview with this idiot for example: http://www.101greatgoals.com/news/afps-horrible-interview-with-a-russian-hooligan-called-vladimir-england-football-fans-are-girls/They should have been born in medievel times rather than tearing up a nice city like Marseille.
To be honest, I wouldn't expect it to be any different in any other western european country or Scandinavia for example. It's ridiculous how much violence in public places goes more or less unpoliced with the police mainly acting as bystanders till the dust has settled, which strangely enough, even that hooligan in the interview noticed. Seeing how the french security setup handles hools makes you fear for the worst when they face a bunch of guys with an AK and high on Captagon.
I wouldn't go to France either and I live literally 50km away from the german-french border atm, so I'll give this EC a wide berth even though it's practically in my neighbourhood.
