Lahoz didn't have the last result from Munich, so he didn't give a pen.

Why doesnt the var ever correct Lahoz? I saw the same in la liga and only happen with Spanish refs.
Like of its an insult to overrule him or something?
Its a clear penalty and he wont even look.

Basically it is an insult. UEFA wouldn't want to make one of their referees to look stupid by being constantly denied by VAR

Was there really a single big surprise from any of the groups when all is said and done? Cant really think of any.

For Rasvett: Rejoice. Hadn?t Poland lost and Croatia won Portugal
would have been seeded on the other side of bracket in lieu of czech republic and would have an easy path to final.

Great stuff for Netherlands though for not facing Portugal.

I see that happening in France too.

First season of VAR, they were correcting bad penalty calls

Now, VAR referees are usually a tier below the central referee and the central referee can't be disrespected (for being wrong), so VAR does nothing.
