there was still the risk of Hungary scoring then, but Santos did try to urge them on once the other match ended

Germany had all the momentum, but there was a small risk of that, of course.
I guess guaranteed advancement was all that was on their minds.

Southgate does not know his best team. GK and back four he knows. But then he is struggling or juggling. Kane is a superb striker, but Lineker went goalless for Bobby Robson. It appears he will keep to Riceand Phillips. So he knows his back 7.

Front 3 probably Sterling, Kane, Foden. With Saka as first sub to come on.

The additional player should be Grealish.

He was nearly their best player against Wales. Many people said he deserved the MOTM award.

Also, Agresti said some days ago that Verratti was indeed scheduled to start for Italia and Locatelli would be benched. Not injured, he is kinda one of the first name on the sheet despite the competition. He didn't get to wear the captaim armband by mistake while playing with the "reserve" team.
