Euro 2020 (2021)

No.
There are levels.

In Croatia, calls go for Dinamo against smaller teams.
In Europe, calls go for richer Villareal vs Dinamo.
But then, in Spain calls go for Real/Barca vs Villareal.

Or in a CL: Dinamo will get calls against teams from Malta or Iceland.
But not against Milan, Arsenal, Barca.

Name me one situation ever when Barca/Real were robbed in CL knockouts in favor of a random Eastern European team.

You can't.
In majority of times Barca/Real won't need help from refs.
But when they'll need it, refs will help.

Again, try to remember any robbery in key KO matches in favor of Eastern Europeans or Afrikans in matches against Nt teams/clubs from big, rich, influental European countries.

If you ever watched Handball WC and Euros, it is a comedy gold.
The richest country always wins with scandalous help by refs (in that sport every touch can be both foul in attack or a foul in defense. Rigged: level 20 000).

Utter shite and parroting this Uefalona theories.

Barca had plenty decisions got against them.

Again.... England had a more obvious pen not given tonight and issue is VAR not changing on field decisions not some fantasy of UEFA telling officials to help the bigger nations.

was also another potential pen later

I'm usually arguing for VAR, but this one of the instances where it's simply flawed. VAR can't overturn a pen for softness, it can only overturn it for literally no contact aka a 100% false decision. It's how UEFA ruled it and it's one of the main and justified critique points against it. What should happen however is that the video refs tell the main ref to look at the situation himself, since in this case he is the one that needs to overturn such a decision.

Once the VAR sees the contact from two different Denmark players on Sterling running at pace, the decision was never going to be reversed.

I think it's harsh to call it a full on dive though. It's not like the threw himself on the floor after hitting thin air, there's definitely contact.

It was absolutely a dive.

Taking out Damsgaard and Dolberg must be the weridest/stupidest decision so far.

There is no point having both Poulssen and Braithwaite on together.

Rules are for suckers. The actual power is still in the ref's whistle. UEFA have their special refs that are sent there for a reason.

Isn't that what was happening last season. When he used to run up to the screen to watch the decision.

Or was that all for show and to build tension

Yes there was definitely contact, but certainly not to the degree that caused Sterling to fall in the fashion which he did, hence it is called a dive.

He took advantage of the contact and dived to win a penalty, like many footballers have done.

Sterling always does it. It's clearly a dive. Any slight contact and he goes down. Kane was a disgrace with that tonight. 6ft plus guy going down after a slight touch. Suarez used to get bashed for that, but it's okay for an English player to do it.

I feel uncomfortable calling things like that a dive. You feel contact and have a split-second decision to decide what to do. I agree it probably shouldn't have been a penalty, but calling Sterling a cheater because of it feels harsh to me.
