Germany were ten minutes away from going out of tournament in bottom of group that contained Hungary. Having conceded 5 goals in 3 games.
They were nowhere close to playing best football and all it showed was how idiotic it is to follow xG to extent think 'shows best team'.

Bruv, Germany were wank. Ever since tourney started. Only the likes of [MENTION=9654]Jenks[/MENTION] went into this game purposely lying and positing them as favourites even though everyone knew they were vulnerable + playing away at Wembley. Every bookie has England as 2nd or 3rd favourite to win the whole thing. Germans barely made it past Hungary. Shit football lacking any kind of balance and the worst this team has been since the 90s.

MAny teams are vulnerable, we are talking about NTs, and about knock-out games, that's the most uncertain combination there is.
Barely made it past Hungary because their group was Portugal and France, while England Italy and others were cruising in their groups.
Now, I am talking about way of playing as well, apart from xG which reflects just effectiveness in chance-creation.
I can't put on the same page a team like Germany or Spain that try to build-up, and attack, with a team like France, which has generational talents sit in the penalty box to defend. That's a hubris.
Maybe for you, there are just different styles of play.
Just think about what kind of football you would see if there were no GErmanys and Spains, but only Portugals and Frances.
And that is my problem with this version of England: Southgate discovered the 'magic formula' in defending.
I like England NT traditionally, but I don't think they have progressed an inch under Southgate since 2018, and I don't buy the hype around them at the moment

On the contrary, more conservatism has creeped in, and you see a team without top talents like Sancho, not trying to attack, being scared to death.

Fair enough on France vs Switzerland. Is the distance thing true for the rest of the countries? Agree on advantage in terms of if you?re directly at home. Just don?t think travelling is that deep. If your games are at home you have a bigger advantage. So England have had the biggest advantage so far
Would be fabulous if Ukraine beat them. Their victory against Germany seems for me it gets overrated as fuck, this Germany team is absolutely shambles. England were hardly impressive themselves.

Brother we played hoof & inshallah without having even a real striker above 1.80m. We deserved it all. Still sucks though that it had to be the Brits, kicking us out, their fans legit obsessed. I did the dumb and commented on thbe Three Lions Facebook page to congratulate. Got called a Nazi and 10 responses that posted the picture of that small crying girl, oh well..
