Selfish play is stinking up the pitch. Ronaldo, crying when Cancelo put the pass exactly where Ronaldo was running to (Cancelo shouldn't have played it to him, despite his constant whining). Fernandes blasting shots. Palhinha crowding his own teammates demanding the ball.

Leao isn't as bad as Dembele, but if he had more of a brain, he'd cut inside sometimes.

Cancelo played a great nutmeg pass for Vitinha but Vitinha lofted up an aimless cross instead of continuing the 1-2 or looking for another square. I like Vitinha a lot, but they should trust in their technical quality and avoid cross roulette, as a rule.

If this team can put its most unselfish 11 on the pitch, and has time to gel, they could be the best. Whether that will happen is another matter.
