Germans in their heyday (from 66 to 1990), won 3 WC (and made 2 other WC finals) and 2 Euros in that time span.

They have been dogshit this tournament. Mbappe also hasn't showed up at all.
I fancy Portugals midfield to be the controlling one and france then might be better off countering.
