9 players are missing due to injury/suspension. Basel don't have a big squad, there were 4 U19 players on the bench tonight.

But anyway it's well deserved they went out, Valencia were far superior.

(And Basel should concentrate on the domestic championship now, the swiss champion is directly qualified for CL)

I don't like the draw. Another Spanish teams going against each other. Sevilla just faced a Spanish team in Betis, now another La Liga team getting eliminated. Seems like they don't want to have many Spanish teams in European competitions.

I feel like Atletico is going to face Real Madrid.

Have to say UEL looks a lot better than the old UEFA Cup. It is becoming a great competition IMO. I like it and I watch it with pleasure anytime. Most beautiful goals are scored in Europa League, not in the CL.

The only problem I can see in Europa league right now is they should not let teams who are eliminated (3rd place) in UCL Group stage play on Europa League. Just look at what's happening with Juve right now and Chelsea last season. It only ruins the competition.

Also, the winner of the Europa League should automatically qualify for the next season's Europa League just like Champions League where Chelsea got qualified by winning the UCL.
