European Super League

Nope.

They made all the threats publicly and in private but now that they are back, they welcome them with an hug as a proud father. The father shows mercy as he knows his son aknowledged his sins. This will help other ESL club backtracking.

UEFA doesn't need to sanction them (bar maybe the very vocal one: RM and his president): ESL clubs walked off arrogantly, and went back with shame not even 48 hours after. It is a great show of power for UEFA and a big warning for anyone trying to pull out a coup like that in the future.

And they basically pulled a revolver. Not even an automatic gun, let alone the grenade launcher and the tanks.

Pretty shocking that we're one of the last few to pull out (we still haven't). Regardless of how you spin it, it isn't a good look for Laporta.

None of the Italian or Spanish clubs. I think it is showing the bigger issue is the lack of TV rights created from the domestic leagues compared to the EPL, and not the CL payouts.

The biggest mistake Florentino made was mentioning that they would be dead without the Super League. It confirmed to everyone that he is desperate and time isn't on his side.

What a load of rubbish. They're only welcoming them back because of the money they bring in and because they're an oil club. I highly doubt they'd do the same for some team like Arsenal or Spurs.

"At Real Madrid, they feel betrayed by the departure of some clubs from The Super League, and they are very surprised by the position of Manchester City and Chelsea, who broke their word."

:lol: Imagine trusting Sheikh Mansour or Roman.

Huge win for UEFA, think they're surprised themselves. Most likely the government intervention helped their case, but they showed the power's not really in big clubs' hands like they thought it was.

Will be interesting to see what approach UEFA takes after this.

A salty RM fan / Perez arselicker on twitter:

"Honestly one of the worst days of my life. The Super League won’t happen. Absolutely done with this sport. The Super League was the only thing keeping this sport interesting. I hope I speak for everyone when I say we are switching to basketball"

Give me your tearz.
