European Super League

Uefa-mafia.

And what is Barca and Real?
Bankrupt shitty teams that try to find stupid ways to lend more money by American Banks and get their debt even higher instead of acting as a proper team(like not spending 350m for dembele, griezmann and coutinho).

Sometimes you have to pay for your mistakes. It's not bad. If you have failed then try to find why you failed

RMs and Barcas have spent a lot of money on average players in recent years, both are in the top 3 clubs when it comes to revenue, yet Perez will have us believe that we and Barca are dirt poor and need this Super league to compete.

I say that is nonsense, dont spend money like drunken sailors, and when the crowds are back on the stadiums, there will be money for buying players again.

I give Ceferin max 6 months before he resigns from UEFA or is pushed out.

This is not going to end well for him.

Florentino overplayed his hand for sure, and the timing and campaign was terrible. And us and Madrid are obviously no saints either, and are also paying for our financial expenditure's coupled with the pandemic.

But the bigger question should be why these 12 clubs all come together and agreed to the ESL in the first place, (with PSG and Bayern not initially joining because of the blowback) which has been glossed over with UEFA (and government) reaction.

They did not like the new CL format and believed that they can attract more investment and income for themselves with an alternative system which was proven correct. This should have been used to open a diagolue and give power to the clubs to negotiate better terms for their CL pay (with more income going to the clubs and less going to the pockets of non-profit UEFA, something that UEFA should have entertained). Instead it was squashed like a bug at first dawn by the monopoly claiming that the alternative would create a monopoly.

It is akin to where in the UFC the players receive shit wages because they are under the monopoly in the organising body, while in boxing there is no monopoly and the big fighters earn millions more because they have the power to negotiate their own terms.

I didn't like the ESL in the first place and wanted us to be out but this UEFA ultimatum is like a mafia boss pointing a gun at people and asking them that they should never think about defecting again.

Fuck UEFA. Fuck Ceferin.

Lesson learned: Think it through next time and have a better and more thorough approach to market it and launch it. An open Super League with relegations and promotions that open door to any club that goes well shall replace whatever the UEFA manages, just like what Euroleague has done to FIBA. No monopolies!

They cant ban city for breaking the rules as they are doing whatever they want but they want to ban us for an idea to create a other league? Did we break any rule or law? Fuck off. I hope we wont give up even if it means we will be banned.

Those companys have no right to judge. Fifa for example are selling worldcups for years and they are still pretending they dont sell them:lol: These kind how guys want to lecture us:lol: Still wonder how its possible they are in charge without getting shutt off.

Superleague was a lame idea and those clubs can only blame themself for not being a bit more creative. They played uefa/fifa into their cards. Now they are the good guys:lol::puke:

What the fuck is Laporta waiting for? Does he think he can make a Superleague with 3 teams? Make it public that the project is off and work on it behind closed doors if you want.

There's no incentive for Barca and Madrid to keep peddling with this shit publicly now. The support is off. They had their first chance and fucked up. And now they have to make a firm step down, as UEFA won the first battle and put them to shame (or they shot themselves in the foot with those ridiculous ideas  like guaranteed spots no matter what you do on the field).

We're gonna have great incentives to sign world class players in the near future, if on top of being near broke, we're gonna be banned from CL for 3 years. Just great stuff.

Yeah, I don't know what he is holding out for. There wouldn't be any hefty financial penalties from the ESL itself, otherwise those 9 teams would not have bolted out so fast. There is no public support, if we keep playing hardball we might truly see some real adverse effects such as sponsors leaving us for not wanting to be associated with us etc.

If Laporta doesn't want to publicly concede, he'd better be talking to Ceferin in some back channels and talk us out of any possible sanctions and penalties if he is sensible.

None of the founding member clubs have actually legally withdrawn from the ESL yet according to multiple reports. If they do they have to pay a 150m penalty to the remaining clubs. I believe that's the issue here.

Besides Laporta has committed to letting the members decide what the club does with regards to this issue.

Ceferin has to get real and understand his position here. He's a nobody. If he overplays his hand he'll be gone.
