Lol as if it wasnt gonna happen anyway. Wasnt la liga planning to have a few games per season played in the US? Didnt they organize a super cup final or whatever it was in another continent?

Also FIFA and UEFA shouldnt have anything to say with their corrupted asses. Many of the higher positioned ppl in their organizations have ended up in jail because of corruption and bribes, they?ve sold the WC to Qatar wich is a dictatorship, where womens rights are worth less than a pile of dogshit, where workes building the arenas are dieing and the list goes on. They see no problems whatsoever with any of that but as soon as a few clubs want to form a new tournament their asses light up and they act right away. I actually think its good their tournaments will have like 0 of the top players and no elite clubs. They dont own football and its time their corrupted asses start taking a few hits.

UEFA and FIFA are corrupt but this is NOT the solution. This is a ploy by billionaire club owners to squeeze more money into their pockets and alienate working class local fans even more. They are also actively harming smaller clubs and lessening their chances of growth immensely with this. This is the peak of corruption, even worse than UEFA and FIFA.

Big teams will still want to win the domestic leagues as much as before and arguably opens that up for some others if more ESL games to contend with.

Also other teams can still be involved in other European competitions and relegation etc.

The leagues wont mean nothing.

They will mean a LOT less. Big teams will play their reserves for league games to rest up for their big super league games, this means less people will watch the league games, which means that the smaller clubs get much less revenue. This actively harms every club that's not part of the big 12.

This is remarkable TV. Perez now with the gall to go on about Ceferin's manners. "We can't have a president of Uefa who insults the great president of a big club"

The absolute arrogance and balls of this man are something else.

Crazy to think Laporta made him his bitch in his last term :boss:

"Everyone says that the Super League is the rich club's league, when that's not true, it's the league to save football."

This is what's most wrong with it. And what's after those 15 clubs?

Huge financial gap, or basically noone. .

He's excusing that by saying they're paying "solidarity payments" to the rest. Basically he wants to divert all the relevant income sources from the rest of Europe, and then pay out 10% of their new revenue back to them. Good guy Flo.

Florentino Perez: “The contract of the SL is binding. Nobody can leave, we will work all together. All the clubs signed the contracts last Saturday”.

They wont play reserve teams. Will be more of approach from City this season where more of a squad game to compete on different fronts.

Of course revenue would drop in some lower leagues and in some like EPL they can deal with it as getting huge money for what they achieve at moment anyway.

Exactly. 15 clubs with guaranteed 350m per year... 5 others win the lottery.

Then... Nothing. And the gap will get bigger year after year. No more Leicesters...

Florentino Perez:

“Cules not happy that I'm the president? I've no problem to leave my place to Laporta, tomorrow if needed.”

Only the great Joan Laporta commands such respect. Meanwhile, Papa Perez would have laughed in the face of Barto.

On Saturday... As soon as Perez waved with money... He apparently turned around and dropped his pants.

Florentino Perez to El Chiringuito: "Barcelona are going through a difficult economic situation, Laporta immediately understood and accepted like all the great clubs in the world. This #SuperLeague will save the entire world of football".

He actually just showed a poll that he himself conducted to 5 nations asking if they support a super league.
72% of italians support it, 71% of french support it, 76% of spaniards support it, 59% of english support it, and 57% of germans support it.

lmao..

Yeah, I dont think hes bluffing. The numbers look absolutely insane - like 600-800ME+ from ESL alone. Looks unfortunately self sustaining. The Leagues/UEFA/FIFA cant do shit without strong arming them financially, which looks impossible with those numbers.

It will happen.

So you admit the problem is there and you're okay with it anyway? Absolutely ridiculous. The aim in football should be to lessen the gap between teams, not make it bigger. This makes it a lot bigger and the rich get richer.
