These tires are making F1 a joke, options, which were soft ( not even SS ) had only 4-5 laps tops till they are completely destroyed.

If they would've been just a bit better as they were previously, Vettel in 10-11 laps instead of 4 could've pushed for the win.

yeh, the Bridgestones were a lot more durable. Pirelli last year degraded pretty quickly as well, but this season is even worse.

Yeah, they wanted to change things so the teams will have problems figuring out the best strategy but it kinda failed cause it just makes races a 1 1/2 hour qualifying session with cars on different strategies not having any interest in fighting for position.
Option tires are made to be a 3-5 lap pushing short stint neither for Q + first laps or the last laps rather than as the main set used in 2 or 3 stints along with a obligated stint with the hard tires. The idea isn't bad, just that options should be made for around 10, in which case we might've actually seen a fight for 1st position in the last moments of the Chinese GP but like this, in 5 there wasn't much action to see.

Great grand prix by Vettel, Alonso (no DRS!!) and the two Lotus brothers. Nice last few laps with a lot of overtaking, also loved the infamous Trulli-train returning and multiple people fighting for 1 spot. Good race, loved it!
