In current lineup of drivers absolutely.

Aerton Senna, of course, is arguably the best driver in such conditions.

Lawson and Perez are crazy and Red Bull are doing nothing about it.

No further rain till the end of the race. Max will likely win, but it's due to luck with incidents and McLaren still being green with strategies. If only Lando didn't follow Russel into the pit he could have achieved victory.

Mercedes and McLaren felt for Charles and decided to fuck up the strategy too.

I disagree... Max didn't put one foot wrong and was very very fast, he was better and faster than the whole grid. The rest of the grid made many mistakes, every single one of them - and they weren't as fast as Max. Some luck yes, but he created his opportunities and took them on top of a near perfect drive. There are many good drivers - Lando, Sainz, Russel, Leclerc, Hamilton, Alonso etc - but Verstappen is generational, he's there with Schumi, Senna and the best and probably better than many of them.

Max Verstappen that was a masterclass for the ages. One of those drives that will be remembered for years to come.

Well according to Lando it was all pure luck and not much to do with talent....even though Max was in control the entire time and Lando almost spun out thrice.

Max Verstappen is BY FAR the best wet weather driver on the grid.

Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren shot themselves in the foot for pitting early. Red Bull made an educated guess that there will be:

a) Full wet tyre conditions, so they gain a pitstop on main contenders
b) A crash resulting in a safety car, so they get a free pitstop
c) Red flag due to weather, so they can change tires for free
d) Red flag due to an accident, so they can change tires for free

and got 2 of the above, which resulted in them jumping Leclerc, Russell and Norris. Even with SC, they gambled and got the red flag they wanted. Max only needed to overtake Ocon and then he left the grid behind.

Now, if Leclerc, Norris and Russell didn't pit, I think we would watch a different race with Charles or George winning as I think Max wouldn't be able to dispatch all 3 in that visibility. But Red Bull gambled (and Alpine for that matter), scored a jackpot and got the best wet weather driver on the grid in clear air which resulted in pure domination.

Still have no idea why Ferrari decided to pit for the 2nd set of inters, putting Leclerc into traffic.

Lando should be embarrassed by that assessment once he’s had a chance to cool off especially as he had a poor race today. In this country Verstappen gets a lot of heat for his supposed lack of sportsmanship but I always find him far more gracious in defeat than Norris.

He used to impress me but some of his performances and attitude in what has been a dominant McLaren for 80% of the races post Imola has shown he has a long way to go to be a champion.

I was out on Lando when he made the passive aggressive comment to Hamilton and his constant snide remarks lol.

Fun to watch him collapse.

Lando should openly become a cunt he was born to be
The nice guy facade he's kept up to get himself liked by the British public & press while not being near a race-winning pace is just not natural when he's competing
Piastri will most likely be outcompeting him next year

Now just need to bin off the other loser in Ferrari and we might have a semi-open championship race provided nobody cocks up with upgrades in mid-season

Senna said “You cannot overtake 15 cars in sunny weather… but you can when it's raining"

With the rain, you can see true skill. All the greats like Senna and Schumacher were phenomenal in the rain,
where the cars are equalized, and the driver makes the difference.
Already in 2016 in Brazil in wet condition, Verstappen had an incredible race..

Marko Helmut reveals what convinced him to sign Verstappen Helmut
Marko has explained that one particular race meeting convinced him that Max Verstappen was worth signing to the Red Bull
programme back in 2014. Racing for Van Amersfoort in Formula 3, the Dutch driver took a second hat-trick of wins at the Norisring
in changeable weather conditions, and Marko explained that that particular meeting grabbed his attention.
"The conditions were constantly changing. It rained, dried up – and there he was, I think, an average of two seconds faster than everyone else" Marko said on ServusTV. "And then it was clear that this was an extraordinary talent."
