Best thing about this is how all the Merc fanboys were claiming how Red Bull were sacrificing this year and more by going all-in last season with upgrades and dev & research while Mercedes were supposedly putting all the work on this car and the new regulations........only for Red Bull to be better.
Could obviously still change later down the road but doesn't look good for Mercedes right now.

Can correct if wrong but pretty sure every champion bar maybe Schumacher with Ford had the fastest car on the grid.
Hamilton is top2 easy. Not much between him and Schumacher at this point.
Hamilton drives for Mercedes, he is not at McLaren since 2013.

I presumed you were commenting on Mercedes as theyve been struggling badly today , apparently
Maybe not as dominant as Mercedes though ..
Wasnt it last year that Russell jumped into Mercedes for one race only with no practice and still managed to NEARLY win the race ?
It was only a dodgy pit stop that messed things up for him
Plus I still remember that race a year or so ago where Hamilton skidded off and was in last place but still was able to finish in second place .. that is just bollox.

Merc dominance isn't down to anyone wanting them to be dominant unfairly and stifling competition thereby handing Hamilton anything
Hamilton doing a big recovery from last is hardly a precedent. Sergio Perez even won before. Vettel did basically the same thing racing from last to 6th in his first Red Bull year in the final race to take title away from Alonso.
Bottas was in same position in one of the final races IIRC and never did that kind of recovery like Lewis

Soz , I missed out NEARLY.. but explained that he was robbed by his own pit crew .
Jesus if a rookie driver can jump into the car and with no practice laps .. still manage to be leading the race by about 30 seconds then that kinda suggests that Mercedes had the fastest cars
Incidentally, Russel was too big for the cockpit so they had to cut out padding to even get him in there AND he was not totally sure what all the buttons did on the steering wheel .. all this is well documented.
