The 2023/24 Barça Atlético pre-season has begun. This Tuesday afternoon, Rafa Márquez's team got underway with their first training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The Blaugrana reserve has begun to work on the pitch with 18 players, in addition to some who suffer injuries or discomfort. There are several players in the group who have been added after working during the first week of the first team's pre-season under Xavi Hernandez.
On the first day, the training session featured Astralaga, Yaakobishvili, Chadi Riad, Estanis, Pelayo, Juanda, Pocho, Unai, Biel Vicens, Zacarías Ghailan, Saïdou Bah, Marc Guiu, Héctor Fort, Pau Prim, Pau Cubarsí, Cantero, Álvaro Cortés and Niko Takahashi. The players who suffer injuries or discomfort are Txus Alba, Ángel Alarcón, Sergi Domínguez and Josep Cerdà.
Wednesday morning will be the turn of the usual medical tests, which will be carried out at the Medical Services of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The squad, with the exception of players who have already done it with the first team, will perform body composition, podiatry and physical tests as well as tests and echocardiography.
