FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

I'll agree that he manages to pull off some amazing dribbles at times but it's usually him losing the ball or stopping and the accelerating past an opponent. He's improved on his associative play but I think he needs to improve on when and how to dribble in order to become more effective. I don't think he'd scored even half of his non set piece goals if it wasn't for his speed.

I think Alexis, to mention one, is a better dribbler than him, and by a wide margin as things stand. Deulofeu is much more confident, but we've seen how well Alexis has done lately when he's confident.

Well yeah he's young so I wouldn't expect much more. He'll improve a LOT more as he gets busted down by 1st division defenders and has to adapt greatly to become more efficient. I want to see him getting more 1st team time as the league wraps up, maybe he'll even score his first league goal.

Ebwelle is a better dribbler than Deulofeu, he beats his man on a dime all the time and has better close control and sudden change of pace.

Really? I knew Pep tried to bring Alexis, because he wanted a winger that could take players on; but I thought he disappointed in that area by quite a lot. It has been quite a rare occurrence to see him take on his man. And if I recall correctly that was also last season, where his confidence was still on a fairly normal level.

He has lot of tricks, but he doesnt know how to use them. Even if he beats his man, he doesnt know what to do next, because he believes that he needs to assist the ball. Alexis's decision making is way too slow, by the time he already dispossed or defense reorganized.

Yeah, Alexis beats his man pretty often but usually there's no option in the box so he passes the ball back or dribbles back again.

@Tony: Obviously you know a bit more than me, but Adama seems to atleast create havoc/chances even though he doesn't score much.

Ebwelle isn't a goalscorer like Deulofeu though...However, I do love the look of Ebwelle, deceptively strong for his size & frame, too

He might be as good a goal scorer as him.Deulofeu had his breakout year in terms of goalscoring in Juvenile A,meanwhile Ebwelle has always been a consistent goal scorer for a winger. He already has 16 goals in all competiions this season.
