This reminds me of that futurama episode where Nixon's head wins the election and then comes teaches to a massive killer robot and says "Nixon's back!"

This proves that world runs on money. Forget fairness and justice and crap like that. If you got money you can make things happen. I am not that sure the current investigation will reach blatter, there is a high chance that he will slop through the cracks.

The question is: How do you stop corruption in FIFA?

Do you think Prince Ali could have stopped that? I don't think so..

I think the voting progress for Wold Cups need to change completely. Too many votes from small poor countires, that are easely buyable.

The decision structure of FIFA is all wrong. I don't doubt Africa's, Ocenia's and Asia's passion for the sport and their rights to be represented and considered, but there is no logical way for them to have more decision power than the 3 most important federations that actually maintain them and the sport.

Oceania has more votes than South America for pete's sake. Asia and Africa have more votes than Europe and North/Central America.

Blatter is exploiting this to do what he pleases. Now he's lobbying for even more power to Oceania, which only consolidates his power more.

Isn't that equality? For every member associations to have a vote each? That's not the problem here. The problem is the lack of transparency which allows corruption to reek through the system and not a max amount of terms allowed in place. That's the problem. Everyone should have a vote each because that's the democratic way. That promotes equality. That Football is for everyone unlike Cricket for example where the elite are harbouring the power.

Btw, I watch CNN more than Fox News, but I do watch both. I like to get my news from different perspectives to form my own opinion. If you don't believe CNN is liberal biased like Fox News is conservative bias, you're very naive.

Actually, I'd say CNN is a bit less liberal bias than Fox News is conservative bias, MSNBC would be the liberal version of Fox News.

CNN is not a liberal network, it's a pro-establishment network just like the rest. MSNBC flirted with real liberalism for a while but has mostly fallen back in line. There's nothing broadcast in the US that is as liberal as Fox is conservative, you'd have to go online for something like TYT to find that. Fox is simply on another level. The sort of stuff they put out there would make the Daily Mail blush. Hell, if anything CNN and the like lean too far toward conservatism, what with bringing creationists and climate change deniers on to speak as if they're relevant.

The question is: How do you stop corruption in FIFA?

You expose so much corruption that the sponsors start to pull out.

It's forced and unbalanced equality. Those that have the most responsibility for maintaining and securing the sport are being overruled by those that do not. Worst yet, corrupt people are exploiting both sides and this structure to keep power.

That's laughable. MSNBC is as liberal as Fox News is conservative. CNN is a liberal news network, though for sure not as liberal as Fox is conservative.

Its a big part of the problem, corruption is everywhere, but even more so in third world countries across Asia/Africa. Its not so difficult for Blatter to give them incentives to vote for him. And many of these countries have litle to no influence on football as we know it. Lets take Qatar for example, do you think that their vote should count as much as Brazil, France or Englands?

And what makes you think making the FIFA an elitist organization of a sort with a few countries having a bigger say in things won't allow people to continue their corrupt practices and exploit the structure and power for their personal gain?
