Honestly can't see any result other than a win for GER.

Suspect they will win over 90 mins, if it goes on longer then they are even bigger favs to win imho.

I just can't make a case for ARG to win, be it in 90 mins/extra time or pens.

Argentina played extra time in a demanding game where as the Germans played 30 minutes and went into training for the rest of the game. Moreover the Germans had an extra day of rest.

Without di Maria messi will have less attacking impact on the game. Perez while good is more defensive.

The Brazilian fans that bought tickets to see their team in the maracana will now sadly cheer for the Germans that destroyed them.

Anyway, while all the odds are in favor of the Germans, one dribble from messi, one pass to higuain and the Germans will be on the offense. The Germans like to score first and early in the game. If that happens we wont win I am afraid. messi needs to find spaces somehow, aguero needs to be sharp and last; set pieces from the Germans are killers. Romero can't fuck up.

Anything can happen even when everybody is predicting the Germans to win.

Argentina just has to bide its time and defend and then counter when it gets the chance. Lahm likes to get really involved in the buildup play, and as such this leaves Germany with a 3 man backline while on the attack. If Hummels isn't fit, then Mertesacker will play, and the counter will be absolutely deadly against the high line that Germany like to play.

I would suspect that the result will not be as most of you forecast, conventional wisdom says that in World Cup past achievements are regarded as of relatively WEAK assumptions to predicting the future outcome, the pure example is COSTA RICA topping the group in the likes of England/Uruguay/Italy.
Given the aforementioned, I tend to expect this final will be an icing on the cake with Argentina coming out as the winners.

If Messi wants to be the greatest of all time he needs this title

only problem, Germany is just a clinical killing/scoring machine
4 years ago Messi also couldn't do a thing against Germany and he didn't get 1 decent ball.

in defense, Romero is just weak (Kroos), Rojo against Müller and Masch on his own against Schweinsteiger and Khedira (Gago,Biglia are simply not good enough). As a team, watching the 6 games, Argentina simply isn't a match.

I don't see Germany not scoring one or twice.

Rubbish. Messi is the best of all time already - football evolves. Pele 1960 would have been sold to norwegian football or something. Greatest? Thats more about luck, maradona had a brilliant team in 86 and pele was lucky all over.

Its true though, anything less than 4-0 pro germany would be a surprise. But maybe a red card and some magic from Leo can do it for Argentina....

Brazilian fans are backing Germany all the way. Was sad to see mighty Brazil get humiliated but now I'm glad Germany gave them 7 goals to think about and wish many more today to hit their net.

People here mostly support Germany, though Messi's presence created many haters. Usually in the west of the country it's Deutschland ubber alles everywhere. Whenever you go into a store, they have some products with Argentina or Spain such as the home shirt but there's always a full lineup of German products that sell, no love for southern countries. Funny that on a club level it's almost the opposite, not a big hype with Bayern while Borussia seems to have some fans especially after 1997 and now with Klopp but from the 90's the Serie A scene drew much attention, England too with Man U and Pool and more recently Barca, Valencia and Puta for Spain.
