Incredibly sad. He always seemed to be a very kind and thoroughly good man that was easy to like, and as a coach of Barcelona he led us to a recordbreaking leaguetitle with 100 points - an achievement that becomes even more spectacular knowing how sick he was for a big part of the second half of the season. Just an incredibly strong person.

He's in a better place now, RIP Tito Vilanova! I hope the players, after the mourningphase is done, can get strength knowing that every time they walk on the pitch somewhere he smiles.

Ah, fuck cancer.

All the strength to his family. Coping with such a loss, while knowing that at least the devastating struggle is over, make for some of the most conflicting times imaginable.

The man himself was responsible of providing us with plenty of joyous moments. And now it's too late to thank him.

I'm just a bit relieved for his family, he landed a pretty sweet job before tragedy striking, I know they would rather have him than the money but many families don't even get that option. Plus he had the benefit of being treated by the best in the world, we've got an arabic proverb that says: the one who isn't killed by a sword will die otherwise, the reasons are numerous but death is unique.
R.I.P Tito.

PS: just one thing, let's not overblow his managerial success with us however, if you really want to respect his memory then just leave it as is.

I rather remember him as the man than the manager but it is pretty sad to lose one especially apart of the Barca family.

What a shitty year this has been.

I know we had a disappointing exit to Bayern but let's not forget he gave us the best Liga in our history. He was also a key man during the Pep era. He should be remembered as a good manager as well as a great person.

We sucked in other big games too. I don't think he was a good manager. Not that that's of any significance right now. He could be the worst coach in history and have gotten us relegated for all I care.

He was a great person. I still can't believe what happened. He really deserved to beat that shitty disease

When I read the news reports yesterday about his condition, I feared the worst and I was waiting for the inevitable. I really, really wished it never came but if he's in a better place then I hope his friends, family and everyone connected with him finds some comfort in that.

From his work with the youth teams including the likes of Cesc, Pique and Messi, up to last year's league title; he truly was a Barcelona man through and through and the club has certainly lost a leading light. People can say what they want about his tenure as manager but putting things into context, he gave it his all and fulfilled a dream that so many have.

RIP Tito, thank you for everything.

I can't believe this. In just the past few months it was being reported that his treatment was working and that he was on the upswing, only a couple of days ago he was admitted into the hospital for gastrointestinal issues, and now he's just gone .

It's an absolute tragedy for him to have lost his life so early and with so little reason. I just hope for his sake that he lived it with fulfillment and happiness in the time he had. The cruelty of a good man becoming victim to his own health is something that will never make sense.

I personally don't think it's right to start bringing up things about football right now. At the moment, it's the loss of life that matters and not the debated sporting legacy.

Today Bayern plays with a black ribbon on and they had a moment of silence in the Allianz Arena before the game. Nice gesture.
I don't want to know how Pep feels right now.
