Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

It's like the team continued playing like Pep instructed/motivated them in the beginning of the season - than everything fell apart. Even all the bad signings and lack of signings surfaced. I honestly believe we don't even have to make that big squad changes - but I'm sorry to say, Tito is not up for the job.

I really hope he was lying and not delusional enough to actually believe what he was saying.
I would love to have Pellegrini at Barca. Look at the hunger he has instilled into the Malaga squad.

The only one who is being cynical is Tito when he says that what happend against Bayern was an accident. No, it was not an accident, that game was the consequence of an entire season..the consequence of how the both teams have played in the small games and in the big ones and of how the both coaches have chosen to use their squad.(Marti Perarnau wrote that there is a big difference between being a squad player and feeling like one when he wrote the preview of this game and he insisted on the management of the players.)
An accident was our game against Milan at home or Bayern's loss against Arsenal. But when you can't create a single chance from open play against Bayern(and you refuse to make adjustements) or against PSG at home before you use a Messi who can't even run(not to mention Milan-Barca or the games against Real) then you can't say that Bayern-Barca was an accident.

And what is my point? To express my opinion? If you don't like it you can bring arguments, but you can't say that I have a hidden agenda simply because I don't agree with many on this forum. Also if I'm exaggerating to serve my point, what is Tito doing when he says something like this:
"I don't think that Bayern or Dortmund are better than Barca or Real. Anyone can have a bad day, it can also happend that players that were at a good level the whole season were knackered before these games. If Bayern would play in La Liga, the difference between us wouldn't be that big."
I don't know what Bayern would do in La Liga, but what I know is that Dortmund is the only team unbeaten in CL and that Bayern conceded only 25 goals this season, while Barca conceded 60(our worst record under Rijkaard or Pep was 56&55 goals). Not to mention that anyone that watched the 4 teams this season(and especially this year) knows that Bayern was by far the best team in Europe.. This I can understand..but some of the things he said were shocking(at least for me). And I don't know what would be worst: that he meant them or that he lied to serve his point(as you would say).
And another thing..four persons have talked these days: two of them said that what happend against Bayern was an accident, one of them said that he didn't made changes during the game "porque lo vimos bien":)facepalm:), but the last one said:
"Si queremos seguir ganando hay que mejorar muchas cosas. Los de dentro y los que tienen que venir. Todos. Jugadores, staff y directiva."
So at least one can still hope..
You wanted him to tell the truth, That what?, That they were outclassed in every sense of the word, At attack, the middle and defense, And that there is no chance in hell that they'll ever qualify, And they'll be even lucky to draw at camp nou, Because that is the truth, But no coach will ever say this, Which brings us to the next big question, Why are you arguing about this then?
It's funny, I don't remember you making a fuss about iniesta 2 months ago, When he so arrogantly said he's ready to put his 'hands on fire' that they'll qualify against a respectable club like AC milan, A team that didn't even allow us to make one shot on target, And pique saying we'll win 3-0, Same thing with alves, Do you know why you hardly cared about this, Because you have no quarrel with iniesta, Pique or alves, Nitpicking their words like you just did with tito, Doesn't really serve your own set of agendas, And predetermined views.
You're not cynical, And i'm really sorry to say this. You're just out right biased, And the crazy thing, One doesn't have to read between the lines to figure this out, It's so blatantly obvious.

Im happy that people on here say that we only won La Liga because of messi and not because of Titos tactical genius. I think another season with him is a wasted year and we still can win 2 or 3 CL in a row with the right manager.

Villanova is distrusting Bartra... He prefered Adriano and Abidal yesterday on centre back. This happened also during the season... And then he puts Bartra as starter for a big game : champions league. Not really logical... What Bartra has to think?

You got it the wrong way around. Bartra didn't play yesterday because he was rested for the CL match on Wednesday. Same thing last weekend.

Yup. If he rested on weekend means he will play Wed.

Although I wish it was Abi :-/

Bartra surely doesn't need a rest? He has barely played. I would like to see the Pique-Bartra partnership tested more.

Agreed, if Bartra and Pique are playing together on Wednesday surely it would make sense for them to play together over the weekend.
