Vilanova: "We needed a calm start after all that happened this week, and after 2 minutes, we were 1-0 down. The players reacted well."

Vilanova: "Tello is a special player, he adds something different, also defends better now. Bit by bit, he's finding his spot in the team."

Vilanova: "What I said about Pique was tongue in cheek. We're close, I know him since he was a kid. Of course he won't leave."

Vilanova: "Tomorrow I go to New York, back on Thursday. It was planned. After the season, I'll go again. You need tests during recovery."

Vilanova: "Mourinho saying this Barça is the best team of the last 20-30 years? That's something to be happy about."

Vilanova: "Injury Valdes? Doctors said he couldn play today, don't know for how long he will be out, hope for not too long."

People saying rm gave us the title makes no sense. The aggregate last season was 4-3 to Barça(Barça won 3-1 on bernabeu, lost 1-2 home), rm took the title. This season is 4-3 to rm, Barça will take it.
The liga is not about the clasicos only.

The CdR game against RM in late January came at a time when they were also dealing with several injuries. Remember that backline? What was it, Arbeloa-Carvalho-Varane-Essien? With Lopez who arrived to the club just a few days earlier? We didn't manage to beat them then, either, so using the absence of Puyol and Pique as an excuse for drawing against them in October is hypocritical.

La liga is not about clasicos only of course, but in this 2 horse competition where the other teams have a buget that cannot be compared to the other 2 those 2 games take special significance, winning La Liga is being the best against ALL teams but not being able to be the best in head to head games, makes the title a bit bitttersweet, especially if those games confirm you as well that you were not able to perform against big teams.
All Liga titles have the same value looking back at them but you have to go further to see your shortcomigs in order to improve and we have quite a lot to do in that regard

True. We were the better team over 38 games, BUT individual brilliance, especially from Messi, was a large part of that.

I'm in the boat that Tito needs to step down. For the sake of his life and health.
If he can't guarantee that he would be cancer free for the whole of next season then it's going to be like those Tito-less months from January to March again with Roura leading the team.

If Tito doesn't go and Rosell and Zubi still sticks with him, then Roura, Altimira and the rest should step down and it is imperative that they get a real and proper support staff to assist Vilanova in the situation where Tito might not be available.

More possible treatments and tests as expected. That uncertainty will only impact his ability to coach this team as it already heavily did this season.

Follow-ups as scheduled.

Comparing survival rates of salivary gland cancer and rates of cancer throughout population, I move for us not hiring another human as our coach. Perhaps not any other carbon based lifeforms either, just to be on the safe side.

Vilanova: "Next year, I will do some things in a different way. It's normal, since this was my first season, and I was away for two months."

Let's hope for the best.

For me it means positional interchange and hard pressing (six second rule) which signified Barca of Pep which has gone completely under Tito

And, to extrapolate, this means Tito can't motivate his players to run like they used to. They've ran like crazy only vs. Milan, but it was the task of overturning a 2-0 deficite which motivated them, not some sort of management masterclass by Tito (he wasn't even in Spain at the time). So, where's the passion? Will it reappear next season? I doubt it. We play out of routine. Pep saw that and he moved on. Then we put Tito in charge and one year later we play worse. Never mind the league, Barca is playing worse now than it did under Guardiola. We were lucky, because Mourinho's also in his worst year at Madrid.
